Making its much-anticipated jump across the pond (to debut in the UK exclusively on our online shelves), skin care doesn’t get more ‘cult’ than U.S. brand Kate Somerville. Harnessing the renowned age-defying power of retinol (plus natural bioretinols), this eye cream visibly brightens, firms and hydrates the eye area for a more youthful appearance – without the sensitivity traditionally associated with retinol use. Delivered via a unique, flexing applicator tip that cools on contact, this will transform both your under-eye and upper brow area.
An ingenious combination of retinols and bioretinols (natural ingredients that mimic the effect of retinol with less sensitivity) this advanced age-defying formula will transform the delicate skin around your eyes. Silky and weightless, + Retinol improves the appearance of firmness, texture and elasticity, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Traditional retinol is combined with a natural retinol-like compound obtained from babchi edible seeds; together, they minimise lines, smooth skin and enhance clarity, reducing the appearance of dark spots, pores and imperfections. Alongside retinol, hyaluronic acid hydrates and plumps skin, while a natural blend of Spanish needles, palm, cotton and linseed oils further the age-defying efforts and support skin density. The unique gold applicator feels refreshingly cool on contact and provides targeted application by flexing to fit into the eye contour, saving this fragile area from any damage. Ideal as an under-eye cream, this can also be used on the upper brow area for a remarkably youthful finish. We're obsessed!

Amazing aging eye cream
If you want an eye cream that actually do something this is for you. Is really strong and probably will make you peel. It help a lot in my pigmentation journey. Love it

My favourite
Very good eye cream. Great for the mature woman like me that has fine lines around the eyes. And under make up it stops the under eye looking dry and wrinkled. I’m not normally keen on eye creams but this ones a definite winner. Expensive but worth it!

Maybe I got a bad product...
I have waited a while to write a review. I have bought it according to Caroline Hirons recommendation. I usually do not waste my money like this and do my homework first....So I purchased and have received a product. One month of use-it is ok, nothing dramatic about it, not drying as would be expected from a retinol, however, after one month the metal part-the applicator begins to oxidise and turn brown, and the product that comes out is darker than before. Something is definitely wrong with this formulation as this is not supposed to happen. How can one expect it to work when the product is not stable enough. Maybe there are some good products in this line but after buying this and wrinkle warrior I am pretty disappointed with this brand.

Bad design
For the price of this product, I really want to love it like other Kate Somerville products. However, the applicator has rusted within a week of buying it. Now whenever I dispense the cream, it is flaked with rust which worries me about putting it into my skin. Is it still safe to use? I’ve seen other people on other sites comment the same. Terrible for a £72 product that only lasts a week.

This works
I am in my mid-forties so there is room for improvement with respect to my eye area. And this product works. It softens fine lines and wrinkles and it has a firming effect. Don’t expect any miracles, but it slows down the time just a little bit. Have repurchased it.

It’s good
It’s pricey but it works. In terms of plumping and hydrating the eye area, it’s great. It helps with fine lines and wrinkles too. In that respect I feel that it’s a little better than the £29 la Roche posay retinol eye cream but perhaps not as good as the £80 something iS Clinical retinol eye cream, which I think is the best I’ve tried - though it’s tough to get hold off unless you have a facialist who supplies it. I would repurchase this again but I would also be curious to try the Verso retinol eye serum and retinol eye masks too.
