For a make up line devoted to lashes, you can bet their mascara will be seriously game changing… and Full Control Lash Sculpting Mascara certainly raises the bar. Featuring a wand at either end, it’s inspired by founder (and professional make up artist) Tracy Murphy’s signature ‘layering method’. First use the smaller brush to create root 'oomph' whilst defining and lengthening, followed by the curved-silicone brush to add volume and curl without clumps. A few sweeps of this is enough to get you party-ready... no other products needed!
This patented mascara is the ultimate solution for larger than life lashes that don’t feel heavy or look spidery. The dual-ended wand features two separate brushes to achieve the ultimate flutter. The ‘Step 1’ brush can be used to tight-line, lengthen and separate lashes (plus the slimmer shape is good for subtly defining the lower lashes too). The curved silicone brush of ‘Step 2’ then adds serious volume and creates lash 'lift', with zero clumps and no flaking or smudging, for serious long-lasting impact. Use the ‘Step 1’ on its own for a pretty daytime look, or together with ‘Step 2’ for some evening intrigue.

Step 1: Tightline Brush
Keep your chin up and eyes down in front of a mirror. Wiggle the tightline brush deep within the roots of the lashes and slowly roll the wand between your thumb and forefinger, while continuing to wiggle/zigzag very slowly up to the tips.
As you apply, slightly close the eye to help nudge the brush upwards. (when you do it correctly, you’ll feel your lid lift gently off your eye.) This will not only pull the lashes up and into the wand for better curl, but will also saturate them with mascara from root to tip.
A game-changing approach is to think of the lashes as a sunburst with three distinct sections, and coax the hairs in the direction they naturally grow:
1. Inner corner of the eye – coax hairs to the top of the nose/start of the brow
2. Center lashes – coax hairs straight up
3. Outer corner of the eye – coax hairs out towards the tail of the brow, adding a little extra dab to open the eye
Step 2: Curved Silicone Brush
Repeat the process from step 1, this time using the curved silicone brush.
Once you’ve coated every section, repeat the process. If you are doing this correctly, you will most likely have smudges, don’t worry, it’s all part of the process. Leave any smudges until application is complete, then erase them with a cotton bud and an oil free cleanser.
Lower lashes
The tightline brush is usually enough for the lower lashes. The defining formula deposits color without being too showy, since the main attraction tends to be the upper lashes. (although there are lots of looks you can create with dramatic lower lashes, too.)
To apply mascara to the lower lashes, put your chin down and look up. It helps to make an “o” shape with your mouth, which stretches the skin downward for easier access to the lashes.
First, use the wand horizontally to deposit a little more mascara at the root, starting from the outside of the eye and working inwards. Then follow up with a final sweep using the wand vertically to separate the lashes. Check to make sure it seems balanced with the amount of mascara on the upper lashes. All good? Then you’re all set.

Awesome
I love mascara and all things lashes - bought this just for fun but I keep reaching for it again and again instead of my other favourites. I love the transformation and all the compliments I receive when wearing this! Seriously awesome stuff.

My go to mascara
I naturally have dark lashes and fairly thick. I used to swear by the pink drugstore mascara (can’t remember the brand) and then the ysl faux lash effect for about 7 years. I wanted to try a double end mascara to add extra definition and effect and decided to try this despite no reviews at the time. I have never used another mascara since. It doesn’t look as great as the outcome I was surprised. The primer mascara allows you even separation of lashes and the actual black mascara goes on so nicely clump free yet so thickening and lengthening! I have never worn false lashes since purchasing this. Lasts long and doesn’t crumble by the end of a night.

The ONLY mascara I will ever buy!
I used to try a different mascara every time it was time for a new one, until I tried Lash Star. WOW! The results make me giddy every time I apply. People are always asking me if I am wearing false lashes, and are shocked when I tell them its just my Lash Star mascara!! Everyone I know that has tried also is a Lash Star for life. You won't regret giving this a try.

Very Good!
I was not very impressed by this brand's eyeliner but this mascara is really quite good! What I really like about it is for someone with shaky hands/previous little-to-no makeup skills, it gave me easier control and separates my lashes nicely as it applies. I took a star off because it does not perform well in humid/rainy environments but if you layer a coat of a 'tube' mascara over it (as I am wont to doing), this stays all day and gives the lashes a very soft doe-eyed look. I also like very much that it doesn't make my lashes "crunchy" nor does it irritate my eyes when I wear contacts. I would probably buy again. It's truly a quality purchase.

Confused as to the rave reviews
I love the concept and the reviews have been great, however the reality for me was somewhat different. Yes, it takes longer to apply than a conventional mascara, I don't mind that's if it delivers. For me it looks fabulous for the first 5 minutes. By the time I reach the car, it looks average, and by the time I get to work, 1hr later, it has virtually disappeared, sometimes leaving smudge-debris under my eyes. I have persevered and used it up, trailed applying it at work in case it is a reaction to skincare or the fact I wear glasses to drive but have never experienced this before. It seems to simply evaporate off my eyes! I'm back to Eyeko.

Not impressed
Fairly good for length, zero for volume. Fades around the 8-hour mark. Personally I prefer urban decay's primer + mascara duo in perversion.

Best mascara EVER
I was sceptical that this would be the makeup game changer that the description says. But OMG. No clumping, no smudging during the day, no flakiness, but still easy to take off at night. And the best bit?? The lashes. First time out with lashstar and my friends refused to believe that I wasn't wearing falsies! Now they are all wearing it!! So worth the extra couple of minutes that it takes to apply. My search for the perfect mascara is over. Thanks Lashstar!

Amazed
Have to say I am normally sceptical of all the marketing hype and promo videos but this mascara is simply amazing. Bought as soon as it hit New In and see it is already sold out. I'm on the wait list for another just to be sure .......

Wow
This makes even my stubby Chinese/British lashes look as if they've been freshly dipped in human growth hormone. I must have tried every mascara on Cult Beauty with differing degrees of satisfaction (I've spent decades looking for a keeper): Lash Star is a different thing altogether. I will be sticking with this one. I've also found it pleasingly resistant to running if my eyes water (which they do in the cold wind at this time of year), and there are no panda-smudges at the end of the day. Tip: for best results, follow the instructions! I didn't find I ended up with any smudges on application, despite the warning. This does take rather longer to apply than a regular mascara (unsurprising, given that there are two steps), but it's only a matter of a minute or so, and the results are more than worth it.
