Founded in 1996 by the world-renowned make up artist, Laura Mercier is adored for its iconic formulas, ranging from complexion staples to skin care and even body care. One of its most legendary creations is the Translucent Loose Setting Powder (29g), a weightless hero that locks your make up in place and grants your skin with a natural, soft-focus finish.
Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder (29g) is a beauty staple that's pining for a spot in your cabinet (that's if it isn't already in there).
This silky-smooth formula locks your make up in place for long-lasting wear, without emphasising any uneven texture. Instead, it's finely milled consistency absorbs excess oil and shine for up to 24 hours while blurring the appearance of enlarged pores. As for the finish? It grants your complexion with an invisible, soft-matte look sans any photo flashback or oxidization (AKA it won't change the colour of your foundation). Plus, it's infused with antioxidant-rich vitamins (read: C and E) which promote a brighter, more nourished visage over time. Cue a night out without any touch-ups needed...

Nice
Everyone raves about this, I think it’s good but not probably as good as everyone says. It is a little yellow not translucent. I’m very pale so sometimes it can make my concealer look darker

Really good
I really like this powder! It’s very finely milled, and although it’s a matte finish, it’s nothing stark or unnatural-looking. There is a reason this stuff has a cult following. Now, while it does have a higher price, I think it’s worth it, especially if you’re worried about your making staying put and/or have fine lines. On the upside, a little does go along way. I’ve been using my jar for months and still have plenty left.

Good but the blurring formula is better
I’ve recently been using the Laura Mercier blurring powder and wanted to revisit the original formula as it’s a little more reasonable in price. It’s a decent formula and helps to set my makeup but it feels drying and heavy compared to the newer formula

Worth it
It’s a good price for what it’s worth. The best powder I’ve tried in my opinion. Not to heavy or cakes on the skin which is a really good sign.

Setting powder
This setting powder is so great! I have seen many reviews online about it being good and my friend was the one who recommended I get it as she loves it. It works well and makes my skin look flawless.
