How much to use:
Short – bob.
Thin hair – 1 jar.
Thick hair – 1 jar.
Below shoulder – waist length:
Thin hair – 2 jars.
Thick hair – 2-3 jars.
Longer than waist-length:
Thin hair – 3+ jars.
You'll need: gloves, applicator brush, clips, bowl, & an old t-shirt or cape. Cover all surfaces you do not want to get hair dye on as Unicorn Hair can permanently stain surfaces and fabric.
1. For best results, start with clean, unconditioned, dry hair. Full Coverage shades work best with pre-bleached platinum to medium blonde hair and add a tint of colour to dark blonde and light brown hair.
2. Wear protective gloves and pour desired amount into a bowl.
3. Section hair into 4 even sections (front to back & side to side) and secure with clips. Work in 1 inch wide strands. Apply colour evenly from root to tip with applicator brush. Begin at the root of the hair applying colour evenly through to the ends. Massage each strand with fingers, root to tip, to ensure even distribution of colour.
4. Leave Full Coverage shades in for 30 minutes. No heat/cap required. For more intense, longer-lasting results, leave colour in for 1-2 hours. Don't worry, Unicorn Hair will not damage your hair, as it does not contain any harsh chemicals or bleach!
5. Rinse hair in cool to lukewarm water until hair feels clean. More intense shades may not rinse clear for the first few washes. Do not shampoo. Conditioner optional.
6. Style to your liking & enjoy your new Unicorn Hair!

Neon peach
Really vibrant colour on application - does fade quickly (much like bleach London) to a more pastel shade - I used neon peach over a permanent pastel pink bleach job and ended up with a very pretty very bright coral sort of colour!

Colour is nothing like advertised on the box
I bought 2 jars of sext I really liked the look of this colour. My hair was bleached and was a very light blonde, you would think light enough to pick up this colour. However, keep this on for 2 hrs as per instructions and the colour is nothing like sext. Looks more peachy. Really disappointing considering the amount of time it took.

Good but expensive
I’ve had red hair for years so thought I would try Valentine. The colour is perfect and I love the way it looks but at £15 a tub it would cost me £45 every time because of the length and thickness of my hair. If you have shorter or thinner hair it may be good for you.

Sext
It’s very easy to use. I’m used to having my almost black roots bleached then my hair dyed pink in the salon every six weeks. Then comes a global pandemic.

caramel
I love these hair dyes and they can be played with for a change. Caramel is a nice shade in natural colors (reddish brown) but it depends on my mood. The tint is quite resistant and full coverage and lasted more than two weeks (total blond). I will not buy more

Amazing
I recently used the colour Shook, I absolutely love it!! I've never seen a colour that can compare to it, it's beautiful. I'm really interested to see how long it lasts as others I've used have washed out completely in two washes. Oh and it smells incredible.

Sext
This hair dye isn’t a hair dye at all it’s a tint that doesn't really work very expensive for what it is was really excited to try this product but was a complete waste of money and time left it on bleached hair for 2 hours.

At least it smells good
I hadn't realised that there are tints and dyes on the same listing here so truth be told probably had higher expectations anyway but this just does not stick, I left it on for 2 hours and meh - not worth the cost! The images showing what will happen when 'sext' is applied to medium blonde hair is a lie, anything short of platinum will just darken it slightly

Chocolate cherry
I have long-ish hair - just above my ‘chest’ - and I used 1 jar on my entire head (I bought 2, but have a jar unopened). The application was easy. My hair is light brown towards the root and highlighted blonde on the lengths. Chocolate Cherry coloured all my hair in the shades described, from a lovely tint of purple at the crown, to a vibrant pink-purple at the ends. I dyed it around 2.5 weeks ago and although it is fading somewhat now, it’s still a lovely rich colour so far.It runs a lot in the shower, and I am glad I used an old pillowcase as it did rub off, but didn’t transfer to my clothes at all. Overall I’m happy with it and will use my second jar at some point in the future!

It was okish..
I have light blonde hair and left it in for an hour and it did absolutely nothing. There is a very decent amount of product but it was't made clear that it should be left on for 1 to 2 hours. If your hair is bleached it might be better.
