Pleasant fragrance but...
I bought this Maison Margeila alongside By the Fireplace (the latter being the one I preferred), and although it's pleasant I'm not sure I'll pull for it as it's a little sweet for my liking. I didn't expect this fragrance to be sweet since you would typically associate libraries with more of a dry and dusty aroma, and I think this is what's thrown me - I wanted more woods and less sugary vanilla. My expectations of a dry scent should not put anyone off trying this themselves though, and I may well like the fragrance a lot more when I return to it. Plus, my skin chemistry may also have been the reason for the sweeter rather than woody notes coming through, who knows.
