Lasts all day!
It doesn’t smell like rum, it’s very sweet and fresh, I think. It’s great as an everyday perfume and since it’s an oil it lasts all day!

Perfect winter scent

A perfect winter scent
I got this in the advent calendar and it is the perfect winter fragrance as it is warm and musky. I wouldn't say it is sweet at all unlike other reviews, it's a nice unisex fragrance I would say. Due to it being an oil I find it lasts on the skin quite well. The rollerball size makes it perfect to chuck in a handbag and go. I'm usually very picky with fragrance and thought I wouldn't use it due to this but it is definitely one that I will enjoy using it up. I have noticed I have got through it quite quickly but perhaps this was just because I was excited by how much I liked a new scent and got a bit carried away with reapplying.

A winter staple
Wow wow wow. Cult beauty is always expanding my taste in perfumes. I've always been one for a light scent and then this shows up. I pass the rollerball over my skin and it's like a spicy warm dark comfort blanket. It's like a cold evening in Amsterdam drinking mulled rum and pulling your scarf tighter around your neck while the scent of vanilla cookies drifts by. It's dreamy, cosy and lasts forever. Expect to find it on your favourite sweaters and coats beckoning you into the warm.

It's ok
Read a few reviews on this and thought I'd give it a go. As soon as I put this on I knew it wasn't for me. I got an overwhelming fruity scent and it stayed like that for many hours. It actually gave me a headache in the end and I tried to wash it off. It still lingered for a while after that. If you like stong fruity fragrances you'll probably enjoy this one.

I got this in the Cult Beauty Advent box and was excited by the name Dark Rum. I went in expecting something on the gourmand spectrum but to me it reads strongly of soap or air freshener. On me it's smells very much of overly strong dryer sheets and I wasn't a fan. The positive if you like the smell is that it is very long-wearing. It lasted till I took a shower again and even then I could still faintly smell it. On my, the long-wearing scent is not a positive because I don't like the smell, but I would look at other scents from this brand because I feel like the quality of the oil and the sillage are top notch.
