This silky night serum for retinal regulars contains the strongest concentration of vitamin A to come out of the Crystal collection to date (that's a potent 2.0% retinaldehyde for all the skingredient buffs out there). Expect a complexion that appears smoother, brighter and oh-so-supple. That's not all though: the addition of hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and glycerin provides a soothing and hydrating pick-me-up to ensure that this super serum is gentle to even sensitive skin types.

Step 1: After cleansing in the evening, apply two pumps of Crystal Retinal to the face and neck. Allow to absorb then follow with a moisturiser. Medik8 recommend Advanced Night Restore (sold separately) which is specifically designed to be used after vitamin A.
Step 2: For new users of Crystal Retinal, phase application in gradually. Use twice a week for the first two weeks, every other night for the next two weeks, then every night. You should always use a sunscreen the next morning after using vitamin A. Medik8 recommend using at least one tube of your current Crystal Retinal strength before moving up the ladder to the next strength.

I really notice the benefit of the carrot seed all added to this, maybe that explains the orange colour but I’ve found it’s always a soothing ingredient in serums. Doesn’t irritate the skin or cause any issues unlike tretinoin, my second purchase of 20, it’s not overly strong or heavy and doesn’t cause me breakouts. Always worth remembering to wash your hands thoroughly after using it and don’t let pets like your face while you’re wearing it as vitamin A is highly toxic - that can be said about most skincare. That being said, so long as it stays on your face, it’s great!
