Milk Makeups Blur Liquid Matte Foundation is a game-changer when it comes to blurring pores and fine lines. Unlike its rivals which often rely on skin-smothering silicones, this formulation is silicone-free to smooth, blur and refine without triggering breakouts. Laced with innovative, powder-filled blurring microspheres which scatter light to leave skin looking enviably even, this base has a featherweight, serum-like texture which makes its camouflaging capabilities even more remarkable... Delivering the coverage of heavier foundations, this blurs and unifies without appearing vaguely cakey, while the matte finish cuts shine and keeps excess oil under control. Hyaluronic acid plumps and keeps cells' feeling quenched while even the tube is a feat of ingenuity - it's fitted with a special (magical?) mechanism which guarantees you only dispense product when you squeeze the bottle so none of your precious foundation is wasted. In line with all Milk Makeup products, the Blur Liquid Matte Foundation is 100% vegan and cruelty-free, not to mention free from parabens and, just when you thought it couldnt get any better, the base boasts an impressive shade range, from Light to Espresso, via Golden Sand and Cinnamon.
Shake the tube, then use your fingers or a foundation brush to blend 1-2 drops onto your face. Ideally start from the midpoint of your face and blend outwards.

i LOVED this formula, im so sad they discontinued it because I thought i found my HG, it offers the perfect coverage without looking cakey and feels super lightweight.

Undecided
It is definitely blurring & full coverage but also can feel quite heavy and cakey in some areas

It's a no from me...
Unfortunately, this just wasn't great for me at all. I find the shades for brown-skinned women in this range to be extremely limited, and very ashy/grey in their undertone to leave you with that dreaded white cast of the 1990s. In this day and age, that's just not going to cut it anymore, not when so many others are managing to get shades for all women right. Aside from the shade issue, I noticed even with primer and a setting spray, this transfers unprovoked and after a few hours it was more so on my clothes and hands than on my actual face.

FULL Coverage
The first thing to mention is that this foundation is VERY full coverage, a little bit really does go a long long way. However, I am a full coverage kinda gal so I love it. It goes on really well, it sits on the skin beautifully and the colour match is perfect. My redness? Gone. Pores? Gone. It is a matte formula but definitely leaves my skin with a velvety glow. My skin looks flawless, smooth, and blurred. This foundation is definitely now a staple in my MUA kit.

Not the best
I bought light and should have gone with a much lighter shade as this is far too dark. Texture is odd, sometimes it’s thick sometimes it’s thin, and doesn’t seem to change no matter what I do. Shaking the tube or squeezing it to try and mix the product does nothing. Sits on my skin in a really obvious layer of product and even with blending it just is obvious. You can really feel it on your skin and it comes off on everything. Not worth the money, for something that I’m just going to have to throw away.

Milk blur foundation
This is really horrid, as other reviewers have said, it separates and if you forget to shake it, a lot of clear fluid comes out, I used a very small amount with a stippling brush and it still went on looking cakey, it settled into all my fine lines and was very orangey after a couple of hours, I can’t recommend this at all, mine is going in the bin

Sits on the skin
It does blur and give great coverage but that's it. Such an uncomfortable foundation to wear. I can feel it on my skin and it transfers and runs like crazy. I also seriously dislike how much the formula separates, but it's packaged in a plastic squeezy tube? It needs to be in shakeable packaging so that you can ensure even pigment every use.

Brilliant foundation
Love this matte foundation, it has great coverage and a little goes a long way. Ensure your face is well moisturised and primed though, as I feel like it's a very dry formula.

100% worth the money.
I struggle with makeup due to sensory issues and this is fantastic, it's so comfortable and breathable it doesn't feel like you're wearing anything! You really don't need much at all, I find two small drops give me super full coverage and I find it lasts all day even without primer. You definitely need to use powder with this foundation though otherwise you get a bit shiny.

Why does it separate?
I really don't know what to say about this foundation. I'm very fair and chose the light shade after seeing a few you-tube videos. Love the color, love the ingredients, love the texture some of the time. Some days it gives me a 5 star complexion. The problem is it's a matter of chance as to whether I get the thick foundation or this watery stuff. I don't know if it's just me and I got a dud, but large portions of this product are very watery - just clear liquid comes out when I squeeze the tube, and shaking the bottle seems to make 0 difference. I waited to review this product to see if it was just at the top of the bottle, but nope it's all the way through and to be honest now I'm halfway through I feel short-changed. When it comes out with a little foundation and a little watery stuff and you mix them it is amazing, melts in, de-puffs you, leaves you pore-less and matte, I believe it has anti-inflammatory properties due to the ingredients, and sometimes this foundation is great, and sometimes it just comes out as the thicker foundation alone and comes out cakey unless you dilute it down using a mist. If it came in a bottle with a stirrer it wouldn't be a problem. I really don't know if mine was a one-off where something was wrong with it, and I'm so sad because on a day when I get a mix of "water" (or whatever the liquid is) and foundation it's perfect. This product was so close to being loved by me but I will not be buying it at this price unless they change the bottle so it can be stirred or mixed. I desperately want to try it again - but I just hope they change the bottle so if I encounter this problem again it won't be such a problem. So I suppose my question is, if the liquid that separates is part of the de-puffing magic of CBD oil or whatever magic ingredient ... why oh why did nobody think to put this product in a bottle where it can be mixed properly?? I want this product to exist and succeed. I like this brand, it seems they use good ingredients, but honestly at the halfway through the bottle stage I think I'm going to cut the tube open and scrape it into an empty pot so I can mix it - and I should not have to do that with a product at this price point.
