Following on from the success of the KUSH High Volume Mascara, a formula that won the hearts of many a beauty buff, Milk Makeup’s KUSH Clear Brow Gel lives up to its predecessor’s high and mighty (geddit?) credentials. Infused with plant-derived oils, it sets arches in place without leaving them stiff or flaky. Suitable for all brow colours, the transparent formula tames and locks brows in place for day-to-night hold, while a tapered brush grooms your hairs to perfection.

On the hunt for a binding component that was 100% vegan, the brand waved aside the commonly used beeswax in favour of plant-derived oil. The vegan hero ingredient hydrates and sets brow hairs without flaking or feeling stiff. Adding to the gel’s hydrating properties are aloe and cucumber extracts, which soften and condition hairs for healthier-looking brows. The tapered brush evenly distributes the product across all of your brow hairs, while simultaneously brushing them into shape. Long-wearing and flexible, the vegan, cruelty-free and paraben-free gel holds throughout the day without cracking or drying out your skin.

Brow Gel
I think this is a good gel that holds in place without making the brows crusty or crunchy. It's a soft hold that's better for natural day to day use. I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a striking, laminated look because it won't hold all day and the brows will move if pushed out of place. The key with this product is to brush through a thick layer and let it dry for 5 minutes without touching. It will then dry invisible and hold well.

Let me down
I had high hopes for this brow gel after seeing the lovely Anna Newton rave about it but unfortunately it's not the brow gel for me. I have dark brown eyebrows that don't need much filling in which is why I opted for a clear gel but this product leaves dried white bits in my brows which are not flattering at all as they look like dry skin! No matter how little product I apply or if I try to remove some with my fingers, there is always residue when I next look in the mirror.

Not very good
I didn’t like this. It didn’t keep my eyebrow hairs in place AT ALL, especially under the arch and at the ends. I use clear eyebrow gels to just keep everything in place. The NYX clear brow gel is a million times better for that and cheaper. Saying that, this product didn’t leave white bits and make the hair ‘crispy’ as the NYX one occasionally can do. Also, I found the brush too small. For a coloured brow gel/mascara a small brush is great, but I want a clear one for those times when I’m doing really quick application and need to just set eyebrows in place - this little brush doesn’t allow for speed. Overall, I found it very basic for clear gel purposes and have gone back to using my NYX one, but I would still be willing to try a coloured one for the purpose of actually filling in the brows if the brush size and formula were similar.

Good for the price
Is this the best brow gel I’ve ever used? No. Would I recommend it? Yes. It keeps brow hairs in place and doesn’t dry them out leaving brows feeling crispy or flaky. I would prefer if the spoolie was longer. A good brow gel for the price.

Good gel - but incomplete
This works well for bushy brows and the brush is just the right size. Not too tiny and not too big. It doesn't /completely/ 'glue' or keep my brows in place as they are quite thick, but it doesn't make them go crunchy and gives them a nice feathery look.

This iis the best gel I've tried so far for holding power but it still leave white flakes in my brows
