Good product but poor packaging

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have combination skin, more on the oily side. I like this product, it's my go to now that it's summer and it's quite light. The coverage is pretty good for a skin tint, and the extra SPF is nice. The makeup does pill a little for me, but only around the eye crease so I just stopped wearing it there. Although I don't wear any makeup underneath my mask, so I can't comment on that. The packaging is... cumbersome. The intention was good, but the whole stick of plastic is very clunky, the rollerball applicator gets messy very quickly no matter how you clean it, replacing the refill is not immediately intuitive (it's actually put me off buying the refills), and there's just so much unnecessary plastic. It's also quite expensive for what it is, even the refill is pricey.

I was really looking forward to trying this skin tint as I watched and read some great reviews; however, I was super disappointed when I tried it out for myself. Apologies in advance as this is going to be long. For context, I have dry skin, not that bad, but my skin tends to feel parched throughout the day, so I thought this would be the perfect product for me, especially since it contained a decent percentage of SPF and facial oils. When I first tried it, the product clung to my dry patches and just sat in wrinkles and fine lines I didn't know I had, and it also isn't as light coverage as you'd expect but I’ll get into that later. I was initially disappointed and thought I did something wrong, so I tried again with other product combinations and experienced the same results. On one of my attempts, I used face oil as a blending medium, and it finally worked! It blended out nicely, and the product didn't break down either, which is expected as the product contains oil in it already. It sat well under powder and other products as well, so I thought I had found a combination that works however, when I saw myself in different lighting it looked like I had a mask of foundation, and I wasn’t too impressed as I expected it to blend in like other skin tints. I left it on anyway as I had places to go and managed to test it out for around 5+ hours, the skin tint rubbed off on my mask and separated around my nose, jaw/chin and forehead. All in all, I wouldn’t repurchase or recommend this product as this is super expensive considering it's marketed as a skin tint with only an SPF of 30, you could find a separate skin tint and a 50+ SPF for cheaper and have better results.

Blends well

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love this product. At first I was worried that the applicator, a rollerball, was a gimmick but one or two clicks dispenses the right amount and it is lasting very well. I use it over a tinted moisturiser just where I want extra cover. It blends well, and I like a very natural look and has the benefit of high SPF

Avoid - doesn’t settle

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is the worst foundation I’ve tried. The gimmicky applicator is hard to use and makes it difficult to get even coverage. It sits on the skin and doesn’t settle plus it feels awful. It grips to the little hairs on your skin and highlights them - I have fair hair so they can’t normally be seen. I tried this as I love the flex concealer. Avoid.

Pretty good one

First of all, I wonder why people call it foundation. It is a tinted moisturizer with SPF. It is good. The roller I am on the fence about. On one hand it will not let you squeeze too much at once like with regular tubes, but also it does not roll super well. Formula is very good, maybe coverage is a bit too much for me, since I love lightweight formulas (like bareMinerals tint for example).

Not worth the hype

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was super excited to try this foundation, had heard great things about it. I have dry skin with some areas (nose and around it) where makeup tends to not want to sit in properly, so I prefer sheer hydrating foundations as they sit better on those areas, so this foundation sounded like a dream come true, especially with extra SPF. First of all the rollerball where the product gets dispensed is always dirty, there's no way around it, I've tried cleaning it after application, but there's always leftovers of the old foundation and that to me is a bit gross. Second of all this foundation just doesn't sit well on my nose area. I wasn't expecting it to be super long-wearing, due to being sheerer and hydrating, but it rubs off really easily on anything (mask, hands, tissue) and after a couple of hours starts looking very cakey around the nose, even if I apply no powder there. I've tried it a few times with different primers, or no primer and it still doesn't work.

Amazing!!

This skin tint is so perfect. Very lightweight but still gives a good natural coverage. Gives a dewy look and lasts all day. I have very dry skin and this doesn't cling to any dry patches. Highly recommend!!!

This foundation is the best thing I ever have! This brings your skin light and glow, and long-lasting without oxidised tone after a full day long in makeup!

Too grey for me

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Ah, I so wanted to like this! The formulation sounded great but unfortunately for me all of the brown shades I could wear have a sort of grey/muddiness to them that when applied to the skin make me look overcast. It's so difficult to describe but it's as if the pigment is removing all glow and radiance from my skin and replacing it with grey, not matter what shade of brown I use. Such a shame - maybe if they were to release more shades I could find one that worked for my skin tone.

So natural

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The coverage this product provides really shocked me. I was expecting it to be very light but as soon I started to blend it into my skin I was surprised at how much it was covering. It did such a good job on its own I didn't even bother to put concealer on top. As well as great coverage this also has such a nice natural finish - not too dewy but not too matte either! I have combination skin so I set it with powder in my t zone ( as I usually do with any foundation ) and it lasted really well on me! As much as I love this product I'm knocking off a star as even though a little does go a long way I wish you got more than 16ml.
