Marrying traditional Japanese beauty rituals with future-forward technology, NatureLab TOKYO's 'skin care for hair' harnesses nutrient-rich plant extracts and actives to enhance follicular wellbeing and fortify, heal and encourage your hair to achieve its full, head-turning potential. What with minimal packaging, minimal water usage and ethical practices during production, you can now use the Perfect Texture range to care for and clean your curls with a clean conscience to boot.
A conditioning cream that defines your natural curls and coils, the Perfect Texture Curl Cream from NatureLab TOKYO reduces the look of frizz and offers humidity-resistant control.
Like the rest of the Perfect Texture range, this curl cream strengthens and fortifies each strand to reduce the chances of breakage. It uses green sea grapes, omega 9 and Alpine rose extracts to hydrate and moisturise both hair and scalp. Blue algae strengthens hair and protects your colour against fading (whether from washing or environmental damage), and flexible film formers work to activate and define your natural curl pattern without weighing strands down. Vitamin C-rich lychee encourages a healthy scalp, and each formula even boasts a deliciously refreshing matcha and mint scent - without any sulphates, silicones or animal-derived ingredients in sight.

great one for curly hair
I feel like this is a pretty under-rated product - this works wonders on my (curly, bleached, suffering, pastel-toned) hair. The texture is smth in-between a cream and a gel - and I feel like the results reflect that, meaning: it will help shape your curls, define them, nourish them and also provide some hold (which is why there is a light cast, but it can easily be broken off with a little bit of oil applied to the curls), and then you're just left with soft, shiny, bouncy locks. I have mostly used this on towel-dried hair (and it's worked great so far) and then air-dried, but seeing some of the comments here, I might try using it on soaking hair as well (and maybe dry it with the diffuser), would be curious to see if I can get even better results. Also, a little goes a long way - I've had this for more than a year and it's being used by both me and my boyfriend as he's also got curly hair and he appreciates a low-maintenance routine (which this product can provide since, as I was saying above, it acts kind of like a 2-in-1 cream & gel). All-in-all, I do highly recommend this.

So good!
Really defines and moisturises curls! Easily one of the best leave-in creams although does have an unusual minty smell.

Best used on very wet hair
Got this as part of the curl edit. First time I tried it on towel dried hair and was disappointed. It weighed down my curls and they looked lacklustre and dull. Next time I applied it in the shower after rinsing so my hair was soaking wet. Completely different results: springy, well defined healthy looking corkscrews with just enough volume and no frizz. My hair is fine, dry and frizzy, with waves/curls that only curl well with right products.

Excellent
Use it on soaking wet hair before going to sleep. Wake up with beautiful texture and added volume. Hair feels nourished and more stylised. I've got thick, wavy hair which I need to treat as curly. The texture is lovely and it's very easy to apply. A little goes a long way.

Holy Grail styler + happy waves!
I have fine, thin wavy hair that needs 2-3 products to make it look halfway decent. (Not anymore!) This product clumps my waves beautifully, whether I air dry or use my diffuser. Just a wee scrunch when it’s fully dry reveals gorgeous waves (and even a few curls). It looks like I have 2x the hair with loads of volume. — HOLY GRAIL STATUS.

Great option and not too heavy
I really like this option and is viable for anyone going with the Curly Method ... it is a denser cream without being too heavy. I find it has a good level of hold and defiantly helps bring out the curls of the hair my hair has gone through a lot of treatments and tonnes of bleaching lately so my curly pattern has been very much estimated and this brings that back and some texture quite effectively. I do find for the first couple of hours the curls are a little crunch with a caste but that does fade well compared to others into a nice natural texture with the definition. So if that's something you like or don't, just to highlight .... and is super easy to pair with other products so I use a small amount with some conditioner and oil.
