Supporting your skin since 2009, OSKIA is a nutri-cosmeceutical beauty brand that specialises in cellular skin nutrition. Founded by Georgie Cleeve, after witnessing first-hand the benefits of MSM, more commonly known as the Beauty Mineral, the brand dreams up the Micro Exfoliating Balm (50ml, which gently exfoliates to leave your skin feeling silky smooth and comfortable. A rich, soothing paste with tiny grains of MSM and silica, this gently polishes the skin's surface without any scrubbing. Perfect for dry, dehydrated or dull complexions, the gorgeous pot resurfaces, plumps and brightens, revealing a luminous, lit-from-within lustre.
This gentle, skin-refining polish contains ultra-fine micro-particles, to buff skin and banish surface debris without ruffling your skin's feathers. Pure MSM granules (OSKIA's star ingredient) work to unclog pores and lift tired cells, then dissolve on contact with water to nourish skin and leave it feeling velvety soft and smooth. A zinc-glycine complex helps soothe irritation and promote healing, while prebiotic oligosaccharide prevents the growth of harmful bacteria to ward off future breakouts. This is perfect for dry, dehydrated or dull skin types, helping to minimise pores and even out skin's tone.

Nothing compares
I've always had a preference for physical exfoliants rather than acid ones. However, I'm quite selective about what I use. This particular product is gentle enough to not irritate the skin barrier, yet it effectively removes deep grime and dead skin, leaving your skin beautifully polished and glowy. Oskia is a brand that I truly enjoy, as I haven't come across a single product that I dislike. And the fact that they are cruelty-free is definitely a bonus!

Effective
This is a really gentle exfoliating balm. For me it’s an absolute MUST to use water beforehand on the face as massaging into dry skin is too much. That’s the beauty of the product - you can target its strength to your individual skin. It’s a great exfoliation balm and skin feels clean and fresh afterwards. I personally prefer their liquid mask if I were only able to choose one exfoliating product from this brand.

Best in class
This scrub has the waxy balm consistency of Perfect Cleanser mixed with extremely fine abrasive particles. The scent is barely there and when you take a little scoop on your fingertips and massage onto dry skin it melts and softens. Add the tiniest amount of water to your fingertips and massage again to release maximum scrubbing action. Further water lessens the scrubbing action and then nice warm water and a soft facecloth lift it away. It leaves behind a very subtle moisturising layer and absolutely buttery soft skin. I follow with serum and moisturiser before makeup, to create an even canvas to work on.

Very good
Love this product! I decided to go for a balm coz I have sensitive skin. It just has light grains running through it which is much more comfortable than a normal scrub. It does seem to burn a little bit when all rubbed in - I don’t know if that’s just me with sensitive skin? But doesn’t cause any redness after wards. Skin feels really soft and dead skin cells buffed away. You also use a tiny amount every time so I’m sure this product is going to last me months!

Ouch...
I love Oskia and the smell of this is gorgeous but it's too harsh for my poor skin. I don't even have really sensitive skin, or at least i didn't think I did - but me and this scrub don't really get on so well. I won't be buying again because it just made my skin sore after rubbing very gently and for a very short period of time. Bummer.

Nice product
I use this product twice a week. It's more gentle than many other physical exfoliators, but you should massage it into skin with a very light hand, otherwise it may irritate skin. I rinse it off with a cloth, because without a cloth it's harder to remove. I'm not sure about plumping or brightening, but it resurfaces skin well.

Really depends on your skin
Normally I hate manual scrubs and exfoliants as my skin is far too delicate and sensitive and will always break out after using. I got this free when I spent a certain amount on Oskia a little while ago. The first couple of times I used it, it was too scrubby and sort of made my skin red and irritated, so I didn't use it for a month or so. I have now found a way to incorporate it into my regime without over-stimulating or irritating my skin (hoorah!), as I would not sell it nor did I want it to go waste. Experimentation is key in my life. I use the tiiiiiiiniest blob on the spatula (supplied with product) and massage it VERY lightly and gently on my t-zone area only (more prone to any kind of congestion and oiliness here). I will remove it with warm water and pat dry. I need to use this about once/twice a month maximum and only in the evenings, mainly in and around my monthly cycle when my skin is like, super rebellious. I follow up with my usual regime and my skin is less congested and oily the following morning and smoother. I'm giving 4 stars, as it cannot be used all over my face (personally) and so I would not spend the money on it.

Really effective
I liked this scrub and found it to be very effective. However it is quite a 'robust' scrub so I used it maximum once per week, following which my skin looked clear and scrubbed clean, but definitely a little tender. Perfect prep for a mask or a lovely face oil, but a little rough for frequent use. I don't have sensitive skin.
