Very dry
These are beautiful shades but they are very matte, I find them quite drying and the shades often end up darker than you would think due to how matte and dry they are.

I bought this in shade 1995. It’s a beautiful shade for me but would be too light on its own. I need to pair it with a darker liner. Although this is matte it feels really creamy and doesn’t feel drying. The only problem is that it’s very difficult to pick a shade online since the colours shown are not a good representation of the shades in real life. Really pleased to have bought this on offer too. 😊

Lovely lipstick but the colour is nothing like the photograph
Firstly, let me say, this is clearly a beautiful lipstick. The consistency is gorgeous, very smooth with rich/deep pigment. It reminds me of the Lisa Eldridge Velvet lipsticks, it has the same sort of feel on the lips. Also lovely packaging, very luxe! But the colour on the CB website for Beautiful Stranger shows a beautiful deep dusky pink, with a very slight purple hue. The lipstick in real life is nothing like this, nothing at all! It's more of an orangey/coral pink, it's so different I actually looked at the sticker on the bottom of the lipstick to make sure I hadn't been sent a different colour! I've tried it in different lights, on the back of my hand, my lips and my arm and it definitely doesn't look like any of the photos. What a waste, I will have to gift it to a friend. Note to self, don't buy lipsticks online unless it's a repeat purchase.
