Could have been better

I am a big fan of the Patrick Ta blushes and have all the singles that I use almost daily.  I love the usual formula and also last years blush palette.  This years is a bit of a let down for a few reasons: - The highlighter powder is too chunky, and a strange texture. I won’t use this. - The highlighter cream has no pigment. However I have found that I like this over the hourglass highlighters as it gives a very natural gleem. It’s also lovely on its own for a natural makeup look.   - Although probably no more shimmery / glittery than the famous Nars blushes, I don’t like the shimmer in the blushes.  I can just about deal with it in the powders but would have preferred the usual formula.   Patrick Ta, if you are listening… Please don’t change something that is working, just give us the original formula in more colours : )

Terrible - don’t bother

This palette is the worst thing this brand has released. It’s sooo glittery and not  pigmented at all. Even one of my pans came unglued from the palette when it arrived! It feels a lot cheaper than last years and I definitely won’t be picking one up again. Stick to the singles.

Disappointed.

I will start this review by saying I’ma huge Patrick ta fan. I own 3 of the individual cream/powder blush duos and last year’s version of this palette. The formula is, until now, my all time favourite blush formula.  This palette is not good. I was so excited to receive it and I had actually been checking to website to see when it went live so that I could order straight away. It looks beautiful when you open it, the shades are stunning and they swatch well.  It goes downhill in a big way as soon as you apply to the face. There is a lot of glitter which unfortunately has not been present in any of these blushes previously. I’m not talking about fine lustre, it is chunks of gold glitter in both the cream and powder of both shades which are too large to pass off as a dewy highlight effect. It’s like 1990s party makeup, and I hate to say this as such a huge fan but it genuinely ruined a whole face of base makeup and I wanted to remove it and start over.  Please save your money. I’m so disappointed by this palette.

Beautiful on mature skin!

I have some Patrick Ta single blushes so was excited to see this come out but was debating due to the mixed reviews, and lets face it its a pricey palette but great with Cult beauty rewards bringing the price down a little. Glad I decided to go for it! the colours are lovely not as full on bright as they seem which is good for me being over 40 (still very pigmented so a light hand is needed with the powder blush) but using the powder first then adding the cream blush gives a lovely youthful glow and the highlighter is pretty and subtle no one my age wants super gold in your face highlight. I have olive tan skin and the shades work well for me, thanks Patrick love your products knocks 10 years off me!

I wanted to live this, but I don’t

I was honestly expecting so much more from this palette after all the hype. It’s super boring on the face and nothing special. The creams fade away to nothing and I prefer my powders from another brand. Not worth the price tag in my opinion. Disappointed.

Uneven finish topped with glitter all over

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is probably my most regretted make-up purchase of the year. I might even toss it instead of passing it on to friends or family, cause I wouldn’t wish this palette on anyone, not even for free. The creams are truly glosses - very low pigment (which is fine), but they completely remove what’s underneath. It’s like dabbing a balm cleanser on top of your make-up. Patrick Ta does recommend putting the powder down first, but that just makes a messy putty texture and an extremely uneven finish. To make the whole thing worse (if that’s even possible), every single powder is full of GLITTER. Not glow, not even shimmer, full on GLITTER. I hate it. So sad. Do not buy.

So excited to have brought this palette! I’ve never owned anything Patrick Ta. The formula is creamy for the cream blushes and full of colour. It’s a must have!
