Apply a pea-sized amount after cleansing, toning and exfoliating, and then follow with your serum and/or nighttime moisturiser. Avoid the lips, direct contact with the eye, and corners of the eyes. You may apply up to the orbital bone of the eye area. When first using the Clinical 1% Retinol, start with no more than three evenings per week, then gradually increase frequency to every other night and, finally, every evening as tolerated.

Good for the price
For a non medical grade retinol its good. Used correctly in stages or mixed with a moisturiser this would be great

My holy grail
When I first used this, it burned my skin. As in, my skin was angry red and peeling off within 1-2 weeks of using it. I used a weaker retinol before (from the inkey list) but after a few months I tried this retinol again, this time I mixed it with a very rich night cream and was more patient with my pacing. I used it only twice a week with the cream for a few weeks then gradually increased the usage. Now I can use it without any cream, every night. But since it’s sooo incredibly expensive, I dont use it every night. I dont ever want to switch to another retinol because it works so well for me. My skin tone is more even!!

Expensive but good
This is very expensive - too expensive. But it is very effective. I haven’t seen comparable results with other retinols. The other 1% I used is the inkey list which was good but PC is a more sophisticated product with additional vitamin c etc. I have rosacea and all retinol is challenging with that, but this is one of the “rosacea safe” retinols due to lack of fragrance etc.
