Good but quite pricy

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Ingredient list looks great on paper, effective and science backed . I have since gone through 4 bottles of this , i did compare this to the ordinary one which sometimes i cant really tell the difference but in terms of the texture and finish , Paula's choice one is definitely formulated more elegantly. It did control my oil production. I think for cost saving you can go for the Paula's choice 10% niacinamide and it would have worked great as well

at first i was scared that it would be too strong for me, but i tried it when i had a breakout and after a day the pimples almost GONE, its really good for hormonal acne for some reason and its one of my fave steps in my routine (pls like im broke lol)

Not great for price

I used this religiously morning and night until the bottle was empty. It left my skin feeling very soft which was probably the only benefit. It didn’t really do anything else to my pores. I love other Paula’s products but this was a no from me.

Did absolutely nothing

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I watched the promotional video that Paula did for this specific product to see what exactly it would treat, and it was exactly what I needed this for. Sagging/streched pores and uneven texture. Since I love a lot of PC products, I had to try it. The 10% Niacinamide from PC met none of its claims in my case, so I hoped this would help. Well, turns out that this product was even worse. Not only did it do nothing, everything literally stayed the same when the bottle was empty, but the texture of this serum is too goopy and thick. It was not good for layering with anything at all, in a simple 2-3 product routine, as it all would feel heavy due to this serum. The texture was one thing that the 10% Niacinamide had going for it. But this was an absolute waste of money.

Worked for my sensitive and acne / severely dark spot prone skin

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've used up several bottles of this stuff since before, during, and after my accutane course. it worked wonderfully and didn’t aggravate my sensitive skin (probably because I already acclimated my skin to high percentages of niacinamide). it did not pill or leave a white residue for me (unlike other niacinamide serums). the texture is lovely, and the results are evident. However, it comes in such a small bottle that I highly doubt if it’s worth it, especially when considering the other great products on the market (like the inkey list’s, my second favourite). personally, I still stick to this thanks to its other brightening ingredients, but you’re not missing out on too much tbh.

Just Ok

I didn’t notice any difference using this 20% Niacinamide than I did when using The Ordinary 10%. Considering how much more expensive this is I think I’ll stick with The Ordinary.

This Stuff Works

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have combination skin with enlarged/blocked pores in the t-zone and excess oil. This is not the first niacinamide treatment that I have tried, but it is certainly the best by a long shot. I have noticed a real difference and it hasn't dried my skin out. Also, the treatment is not sticky or smelly like others. Love it.

BEST PURCHASE EVER

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’m 23 years old, with combination skin but large pores were my main concern. I had tried the 10% niacinamide and I liked it but never noticed a huge change. This product however has made my skin incredibly smooth and glowy!! The forehead lines I had are almost gone and my overall skin tone is even!! HOLY GRAIL PRODUCT

Is it that good?

I haven't noticed the difference between 10% and 20% niacinamide apart from the price.

You don't know what you've got till it's gone!

I bought this having had 'ok' results with another brand's niacinimide, so decided to level up. The texture is lovely and it integrated well with other products. I ran out 2 weeks ago and wow, can I tell. It took me a while to realise but the deterioration in my skin speaks volumes, skin texture looks rougher and more irritated, pores are worse and fine lines are creeping back. This stuff is the silent assassin of skincare, I'll definitely be re-buying.
