Cleansing and clarifying, this anti-dandruff shampoo has been specially formulated to remove the irritation and potential embarrassment that dry, flaky scalps too often bring. Developed by ‘The Hair Doctor’, Philip Kingsley, whose work centred around scalp (as well as hair) heath, this formula was originally created for Sir Laurence Olivier. Unlike other dandruff treatments, Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo does not dry out the hair or strip it of colour, gently cleansing with specialised ingredients instead and removing build up and irritation, so effectively that 99% of those tested in a consumer trial said that it cleared their flaky scalp. With a delicate apple fragrance, this can be used every day as your main shampoo, or in conjunction with the shampoo recommended for your hair texture. Apply to wet hair
Lather well with a gentle kneading of the scalp
Rinse and repeat if necessary

One of the best anti-dandruff shampoos
This is an all time favourite of mine to calm my scalp. I try to only use it for only one of my washes per week as I find it drying to my hair.

Clarifies
I love to use this shampoo once a week to clarify my scalp. However, it should be used once a week, if used more frequently your scalp gets used to it and won't be as effective.

Would give more stars if i could
My scalp gets so itchy even right after I shower it's never right. I don't have dandruff but I get itchy immediately after I shower. I have tried dry scalp, oily scalp, scalp exfoliator shampoos etc & nothing works. My GP had even prescribed me medicated shampoo. this has worked for me now and I can go longer days without washing my hair!

For the last few years, I've had an incredibly itchy and flaky scalp, it was quite distressing. I've been through so many different shampoos including Head and Shoulders which none have worked for me, however, I just happened to stumble across the Philip Kingsley shampoo whilst browsing on the site and thought to give it a try and it has been the best decision I've even made! Its been 2 weeks and so far my scalp has stop itching and flaking dry skin! If I could give it more stars I would.

Works beautifully!
I have the worst itchy, flaky scalp and it sometimes drives me to needlessly wash my still clean hair just to give myself some relief, so I jumped with joy when I discovered this shampoo! It's not a cure, but it definitely helps to diminish the look of noticeable flakes on my scalp and the relief from itchiness and irritation is amazing. I haven't noticed my hair becoming any drier (and I have a coarse hair type naturally prone to dryness), and I love the shine it gives me. This is now a staple in my bathroom!
