Cleansing and clarifying, this anti-dandruff shampoo has been specially formulated to remove the irritation and potential embarrassment that dry, flaky scalps too often bring. Developed by ‘The Hair Doctor’, Philip Kingsley, whose work centred around scalp (as well as hair) heath, this formula was originally created for Sir Laurence Olivier. Unlike other dandruff treatments, Flaky Itchy Scalp Shampoo does not dry out the hair or strip it of colour, gently cleansing with specialised ingredients instead and removing build up and irritation, so effectively that 99% of those tested in a consumer trial said that it cleared their flaky scalp. With a delicate apple fragrance, this can be used every day as your main shampoo, or in conjunction with the shampoo recommended for your hair texture. Apply to wet hair
Lather well with a gentle kneading of the scalp
Rinse and repeat if necessary
Follow with the appropriate Philip Kingsley conditioner and scalp toner

Fantastic
I bought this shampoo for my husband and he loves it! He is a construction engineer and he has to wear a helmet many times and unfortunately it has made his scalp very greasy, flaky and itchy. He tried so many (expensive and medicine) shampoos, but nothing helped as much like this. His scalp is healthy now, I ordered a 3rd bottle for him.

Finally a scalp shampoo that works!
I have suffered for a long time with a psoriasis type skin condition on my scalp. I have never been able to get rid of it completely but have used various creams and shampoos in an attempt to combat a scaly, flaky scalp. Some have kept it from flaring up badly, but none of them have never got rid of the scaliness completely. I was expecting a similar result from this shampoo (I have learned not to expect miracles) but it has completely exceeded my expectations!! Not only has it completely transformed my scalp, it also foams up nicely and smells nice and fresh (a bonus when fragrance normally leaves my scalp itching and irritated). Everyone’s scalp and hair is different, but I have tried many of the so-called leading products and this is the best! I will be repurchasing for sure.

Unfortunately not working for me
I have a really flaky and itchy scalp and have tried many shampoos and conditioners that haven't worked so I was really hyped to try this product. However, this was a huge disappointment as my hair got dirty more frequently and dead skin is falling off my head like a snowstorm since I started using it (more than halfway through with the bottle). I can't recommend this product but hope it works for someone else.

Seborrheic dermatitis
I've been suffering from seborrheic dermatitis for several years and I've tried various brands, including Nizoral, Vichy, Neutrogena and La Roche Posay. They usually work for the first couple of washes and then my scalp starts to itch once again, especially if I apply dry shampoo on the second day. This shampoo is different though - it has worked wash after wash! I also had a flaky patch just above my neck and it went away immediately. It's pricey but totally worth it!
