recycle:me aims to offset the impact of beauty-loving consumers, helping you to recycle packaging (including tough-to-recycle materials) and be kinder to our earth.
Simply clean out your empties, give them a rinse to remove residue, and you’re on your way to recycling.
Download the recycle:me app, create your account, and then scan your empties. Once accepted, fill your recycle:me bag (or any other packaging you might already have) with your empties. Next, book a collection through the app or drop off at any one of 14,000 locations. Sound easy? You’re done!
Plus, you’ll receive £5 worth of Cult Status Points within 14 days upon receipt of your five eligible items.
We’ll receive your empties and sort through them, allocating any hard-to-recycle products and packaging onto our partner for them to be repurposed (rather than ending up in a landfill or polluting mother earth).

Once you’ve used every last drop of your products, use the recycle:me app to scan the empties you wish to return (even fragrance bottles and minis) – you'll get confirmation within 24 hours.
Return
Clean your empties and package them up – you don’t even need a label! Use the recycle:me app to arrange doorstep collection or drop off at your chosen location.
Recycle
We'll pass your empties onto our partner to be repurposed into plastic board to be used for new projects and to house future beauty products, meaning less packaging ends up in landfill.
Reward
Within 14 days of receiving your items, we’ll add £5 worth of Status Points to your Cult Beauty account. You’ll need to send a minimum of five eligible products to earn a reward.

Doing my bit
Added a Recycle me bag to my last order. Now it’s here I’ll put the last full one in the post. Trying to recycle and reuse where I can. There’s often fiddly bits with toiletries and cosmetics that don’t go in local recycling. Not quite sure if the Recycle me bag will take all the bits, but have put them in. Mascara wands? Lotion pumps? Fingers crossed.

Fun Initiative!
I LOVE that I can now recycle my plastic empties! I enjoy filling it up and so far have used up 3 bags. My only gripes is - only a select few items are accepted for recycling, and some plastic products that I want to recycle, cannot be cleaned with ease - or cleaned at all in some cases for example, mascara tubes etc. So I struggle to understand if they will be recycled at all.

Very limited
I love the idea, but the only things you can recycle through this are plastic packaging and sample sachets. I was hoping I’d finally have a place to put in my empty aerosol cans or odd glass bottles but those are not accepted. My council recycles plastic packaging so the only thing this works for in my case are the sample sachets, which I love that I can recycle, but it will take me ages to fill this bag up
