REN CLEAN SKINCARE's Glycol Lactic Skin Renewal Mask is a godsend for congested, sun damaged and mature skin. Made with 5-6.5% Glycolic Acid, it is both gentle and effective at exfoliating away dirt, actively dissolving the bonds that hold dead skin build-up to reveal a healthy glow. This is one of REN's top-selling products because once people try it they rarely stray to another mask for cleaning the skin of the weekly flotsam and jetsam.
The active element to this mask is a 100% pure fruit acid complex (lactic, glycolic, tartaric and citric) and papain enzyme (from Papaya). These ingredients create a gentle but potent exfoliating action that targets dull, congested and mature skins. The AHAs resurface the skin, visibly improving firmness and radiance, while at the same time reducing fine lines, post acne scarring, blemishes and blackheads - the outcome is a bright, new complexion. Not suitable for very sensitive skins.

The smoothest skin

Got to know and love this product very many years ago: Initially, the slight tingling sensation on the skin takes a little getting used to, but afterwards you have a radiant, smooth, beautiful skin! Very pleasant, fruity scent, a small amount is enough and REN as a brand I find great anyway, because they pay attention to environmental aspects and produce and pack their products sustainably. Tip: Just do not leave on the skin TOO long, because the mask is really very, very effective. I always have in the closet and must never go out. One of the best chemical peels that I know.

It’s good but...
Don’t use this (like I did), the morning after using a salicylic acid serum the night before. I’ve been using the Inkey list BHA and then DE retinol (only one, on alternative evenings). I’ve used this mask twice, and it’s definitely too strong for my skin with my current routine. I 100% think it works as a really good exfoliation because my skin now feels over exfoliated! I’m hoping once my skin adjusts to BHA/retinol I can reintroduce!

I have mild acne and read reviews and watched lots of YouTube vids about everyone raving about this product. I’ve been using it once a week for a month and seen no difference.
