Upon first use, swirl your fingertip in a circular motion on each eyeshadow shade. Don’t be afraid to use firm pressure. This will activate our Lid Illumes for optimal colour payoff. So pretty. More smooth and less glittery than previous roen quads. More like a typical cream shadow for everyday. Does creese the same amount as the originals and the lack of glitter makes it harder to pull off.

A big hit for me but may not be to everyone’s tastes
I really like this, it’s easy to apply, can looks quite understated and can also be dialled up to look more editorial. It also has really lovely packaging. I can understand, thought, why it’s not for everyone, and if you’re looking for cream shadows that stay in place and don’t crease, this isn’t for you. I personally love the grungy, slightly undone look this gives when it’s a bit smudgy and creasy, and I love the range of emoliant, flakey textures of the shadows. But it you want something nullet-proof that looks instagrammable, this probably isn’t the one you’re looking for

My fav eye palette brand!
I have Gold Lust, Eyes on Me and Mood4 Ever, they are my fav eye palettes. The key of using them is: LESS IS MORE. It actually cakes up in the afternoon if I am too heavy on the usage, BUT if I keep it minimal, it doesn't cake at all. You only need the minimal to get the desired effect: one circle with your ring finger will get you enough product for application of one color, i.e. one for the entire top eye lid, another (color) for the eye crease area. I usually use a brush for the inner corner of the eye with a highlighting color. The products are better applied with fingers, the colors are shown more visibly. I only use the brush for specific enhancement if I want it. The formula makes it so easy to glide over the eyes, and the shimmer is better than any other products I have used.

This palette/ brand might not be for everyone
Howdy to whoever is reading this review in hopes of finding guidance. In my personal experience with this brand and palette, I love it. But I understand that this might not be for everyone. Let me explain. This brand in general doesn’t cater to the mainstream idea of what beauty products should do. Meaning, if you’re looking for an eyeshadow with insane staying power, payoff, and create super complex looks. This is not for you. I enjoy this because I can use it on the go, it’s subtle and fits into an idea of beauty I identify with. I can create simple, quick, and low effort looks that don’t irritate my skin and is easy to wash off after a long day at work. I hope this helped. Good luck!

I have to say that I hate this palette! As others have said it does not dry down at all. It also just smears off, with or without primer, meaning that a) it looks messy quickly and b) I’m just left with sparkle and no colour after a couple of hours (sparkle and no pigment is my pet hate!) If you are hooded you have no chance. For a high end product, this does not perform. It ends up being very high maintenance and cheap looking. The packaging is nice though and the formula is different than others I’ve used but there is WAY better out there for a fraction of the price.

Beautiful, but
I was in between 3 and 4 stars as this is such a stunning palette that is malleable and easy to apply and create an impact or add a pop of colour. Its cream and creamy shadows feel so lovely and give instant payoff however it doesn't really set so I would 100% recommend finishing with a setting spray over the face as the longevity is not quite as strong.

Gorgeous palette with poor staying power
The previous review is spot on. I agree with every single point made. The palette itself is Ah-mazing - the texture, the colour story, the effect it creates on the lids. I fell in love with it from the first application. It creates the most gorgeous healthy, wet looking sun-kissed holiday look - it’s mesmerising - I got so many compliments when I wore it to a brunch the other day - I thought I had found my new make-up holy grail. However, there’s a huge BUT. It creases almost immediately and melts away too quickly. At some point during the brunch, when I checked my make up in the mirror - I was disappointed to discover that I had literally only a few sparkly bits left on my lids. I felt like Cinderella who didn’t leave the ball on time - going from ‘golden goddess’ look to no make up look in a matter of an hour and a half. I still love this palette for the initial wow factor, but it’s a high maintenance product that needs to be reapplied constantly.

Beautiful shades and texture but not long lasting
Very beautiful product. The cream shadows create skin like effect, for natural sunskissed look. Unfortunatelly it does not last long on my eyelids. Creases almost imidiately on my hooded eyes. Need couple of touch ups during the day. I would recomend it tough because it's georgeous.
