If you suffer from an itchy scalp or dandruff and don't want to load your hair up with chemicals, Sachajuan's Scalp Shampoo is a brilliant alternative to commercial anti-dandruff brands. The stars of the show are a double act of anti-fungal riroctone olamine and climbazole which, according to the Australasian College of Dermatologists, are less toxic than regular flake-fighting ingredients. The addition of rosemary oil, menthol, salicyclic acid and ginger extracts then combine to soothe and nourish irritated, scale-prone scalps.

It did work but it’s pricey!
I received a bottle of this in my advent calendar and have repurchased. I definitely did notice a difference in my scalp but I don’t think I could justify exclusively using this shampoo due to the price. I’m still getting results using every other wash and using my usual conditioner so I’ll keep doing this. I would recommend to anyone with an itchy scalp but wish it was a little cheaper.

Got this in the advent calendar and liked it enough that I had to come pick up another bottle. I don’t know if it’s quite worth the price being a shampoo, but I have locs and it did a good job clarifying my scalp and dealing with the itching and mild flaking. And gave a solid clean with just the first wash. I don’t think it will be an essential staple at this price, but i like it as a “nice to have” splurge item and something to use for when my scalp is unhappy.

Not great for more oily type of hair
This shampoo definitely soothed my scalp and made it less itchy but sadly far from great for my oily hair as the oils in the shampoo create a build up and make my hair more greasy very quickly. Probably great for somebody with very dry hair but too heavy if you trying to reduce how often you wash your hair.

I have been suffering with dandruff for years. I first received this shampoo in one of the Cult Beauty edit samples and have fallen in love with it. A bit frustrated as it is always out of stock. Recently managed to purchase two bottles and still happy with the results of the shampoo. The itchiness of my scalp is gone and I have no dandruff anymore, which is a huge help for my hair loss. Will definitely repurchase again once my purchases are finished. Prefer buying the 100ml bottles as it is easy for travels.
