A featherweight daily defence, Thank You Farmer’s Sun Project Light Sun Essence SPF 50+ infuses skin with cooling aloe extract (to reduce redness and calm irritation), while sacha inchi oil and lotus flower water combine to soften visibility of lines and bolster skin’s resilience – improving suppleness and ‘stretch’ while deflecting the damaging effects of UV rays. Readily absorbed and completely non-greasy, this hydrates without smothering skin, controlling oil to maintain a smooth, semi-matte finish.

After basic skincare, take a proper amount of the product, then spread evenly on the area which will be exposed to the sun. Use before exposure to the sun. Apply again to maintain protection, especially after sweating, swimming or wiping with a towel.
Warnings: Do not use on damaged or irritated skin, skin with wound, eczema and dermatitis. Do not use in case of allergy to any of the ingredients. For external use only. Discontinue use if signs of irritation or red spot, swelling, itching, stimulus have occurred and consult with dermatologist. Discontinue use if side effects as above have occurred on the area of application after exposure to direct sunlight. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Even when using sunscreen product, prolonged exposure to the sun is not recommended. Keep babies and children out of direct sunlight. Excessive exposure to the sun is a serious threat to health. Lovely, lightweight SPF
Sunscreens have come a long way (thank goodness) and this essence is proof of that. It has a lovely, light texture that feels fresh and cooling on my skin. It sinks in quickly and leaves no traces of white marks or stickiness. It also doesn’t leave my skin with an oily sheen; it just looks healthy. I have quite oily skin and find using this over my serums gives my skin enough moisture in the mornings, although other products and makeup do sit nicely over it.

Holy grail SPF for the oily and melanated
I have oily skin, plus I am Indian, so finding an SPF that didn’t leave a white cast, didn’t break me out and was a high factor coverage was nigh on impossible. Until this one. Seriously, this met all my criteria and feels like an additional moisturising layer on top of normal moisturiser. It does have a slight chemically smell, but it doesn’t linger and frankly even if it did, it wouldn’t bother me given what I get in return for it. Have re-bought and am not looking back.

DREAM SCREEN!
With no exaggeration, I have this stockpiled in my bathroom. It's a beautiful light texture that soaks straight into the skin feeling like nothing at all, and with no white cast at all or excessive shine that many sunscreens leave me with. I look forward to putting this on my face at the end of my morning routine, I really couldn’t recommend it more!

Not worth the hype
I love thank you farmer products, but this one in particular didn’t suit my skin, my acne prone skin was finally cleared up until I used this product and now my face is messed up. Please don’t use this product if you have oily/acne prone skin.

Excellent but packaging needs to change
This is a great sunscreen and I'm about to order my second (rather small) tube. But the packaging is poor - the top of the tube is too narrow to balance so you can't stand it on its end, meaning its hard to get all the sunscreen out without cutting the tube open. I'm amazed this passed anyone's package testing, to be honest. Work to do here, and it lets a great product down.

No breakout and no burns!
Used this on a recent holiday in Spain as my facial sunscreen and it provided as good coverage as my other Asian facial sunscreen. Bit pricey comparatively, but it feels luxe going on and blends to invisibility instantly. Even my husband loves it!

This was my second attempt at finding a non-tinted mineral sunscreen and based on the reviews it looked quite promising. I have been using it in Scotland over the past few weeks where even on a clear day the temp doesn't tend to go above 25c (so nowhere near as hot as Korea). Sadly, I haven't been able to rely on it as an everyday sun protection product, I've been aware my skin was burning after an hour or so outside. I have fair skin and don't sunbathe, so when I say I was outside I mean nipping to the shops or doing a bit of gardening. I've tried applying more product but it really doesn't make a difference. On a couple of occasions, I have put a tinted foundation with spf30 (another brand) over the top, just in areas where I wanted a bit of concealer or highlighting. On those days I noticed my skin had caught the sun where only the Thank You Farmer was applied, yet it was fine where the foundation had been lightly applied.
