Created in collaboration with internationally-fêted ballet dancer Polina Semianova, this multi-faceted fragrance strikes a beautiful balance between uplifting, fruity notes and powdery florals – to resonate with Polina’s memories of childhood, and evoke the emotional and physical freedom she experiences through movement. With a crisp, juicy greenness, the top note of Williams pear gives way to an unusual, fruity-floral heart of Egyptian jasmine, plum, freesia, mimosa and osmanthus (a white blossom with an apricot aroma) – before succumbing to a sultry, animalic base of musk, moss, myrrh, sandalwood and amber. Combining lightness with strength, Volume 2 has a sensuous, lingering depth beneath its effervescent exterior – a celebration of the physicality and discipline required to achieve balletic elegance.
