We recommend shaking the bottle before use. Use as an overnight treatment. Shake into the palm of your hand, massage hands together, use your fingertips to rub into scalp and leave on overnight. Apply enough to cover entire scalp. Wash hair as normal in the morning, if desired. Use every night for best results over a 4-month period.

Not much difference with once bottle
The ease of application is very good. One bottle down, I don’t think I notice a massive difference yet. Probably have to use more of it and be more consistent, but I totally trust the science behind the formulation and hoping to see results

Not convinced
I really liked the concept of this product but unfortunately it didn’t work for me. Wouldn’t recommend or repurchase

Does not work
Honestly I feel sad that I fell for the marketing. I just really wanted to find something to prevent gray hairs but I have more than ever, despite using so many bottles of this. It sounds like a fantastic product but I should be resigned to the fact that there's nothing that's gonna achieve a miracle. I don't recommend this; save your money (I wish I had).

So far so good
I've only used this product a handful of times, but the difference is astonishing. I'll have to keep using it a few more times to fully determine how well it works. I've suffered with premature greying for the last 10 years, with it getting worse recently (in my mid 20s). It is quite difficult to apply the product to the scalp as my hair seems to soak it up, but in the areas in which I focused the application, I noticed that the new hair growing was pigmented rather than grey! Excited to keep trying this out.

No Magic Potion
If it seems too good to be true then it probably is - so the adage goes! My previously mid to dark brown hair is less so at the temples and although I'm not quite salt and pepper yet, the natural 'highlights' are beginning to shine through. This seemed like a better option than hair dye and I was hopeful that the science behind this held true. Four bottles in and £60 lighter, I'm not convinced. I 'think' that this has some effect but it was marginal, and the silvery tones are still shining through. Unfortunately, I think the hair dye wins this time.

Has made a significant difference!
I've used this religiously for seven months. I have about 50% grey and was wondering if this product would help retain the 50% brown. I don't want to dye because of the upkeep and the harsh grow out line. For ages, I didn't think this was working until I've compared my hair now with a photo from last year. The grey is a lot more blended with the brown and my overall colour is much more vibrant. Whilst it's not a dramatic difference, It's a perfect result for me.

Did not work for me
Despite having major doubts about the mechanism of action and proof of concept from the beginning (less than 50 study participants thus not really significant), I decided to give it a shot. After 4 months of nightly use applying a big amount of the product to my scalp, taking before and after pics, I can say for sure that this product has not significantly reduced greys in my case (male in late twenties with first greys). I would recommend saving the money and go for hair dye instead until there is a real scientific breakthrough.

Update bottle design
I am in my late 20s and have noticed a handful of greys. I bought this hoping to curb the appearance of any more. Inkey list says that noticeable results can come after 4 months of regular use. I have only used it for a month and it’s not always nightly (specially because I don’t wash my hair everyday). I cannot review fully but really hate the bottle design. It’s a pump. I think this would work better with a dropper or just a pour over. It’s hard to only get the product on the scalp and not waste any on my hair with the pump delivery. It’s a very small bottle so it would be nice to not waste so much of the product.

Waste of money
Complete waste of money! Bought this when it was first launched as did my sister. I have gone through 6 bottles and not the slightest difference. Thought it might be too good to be true and unfortunately it is.

Save your money!
Don't get suckered into buying this like I was! There's no evidence both scientifically and anecdotally that shows that there is any benefit to using an at-home, topical scalp treatment like this one. There is very little information as to what "Darkenyl" even is.This product is so expensive per bottle, and the instructions say you need to let it work for 4 months to see any improvement. You're out 60 bucks for even a possibility of change, but you won't find it with this product. As for my experience, I used this on a daily basis, every night after shampooing my hair, on my fully grey temples for a month and a half and have seen no change whatsoever. I would expect quicker results since I am younger (in my mid 20s) and am otherwise quite healthy, but no such luck. Don't waste your money on this!
