Update: Sensitised My Skin

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Initially, it seemed like my skin could tolerate this product. Unfortunately, after continuous use, it sensitised my skin an partially damaged my barrier. Not entirely unexpected, but something you should keep in mind

Works!

I've been using this for a year and can say that it does work to reduce hyperpigmentation. I do get periods of acne though, so by the time my scars have faded I get a new batch of spots. The product does work though!

Nice texture but no results

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

This has a nice thick texture, but sinks in well. I however didn't see any change in my pigmentation issues so wouldn't repurchase for that reason.

Perfect for dark marks

I use this alongside the ordinary alpha arbutin and those two together really work to fade dark marks quickly.

Lovely texture

I've only been using this for about a week, so not sure about the efficacy yet. I was surprised to have this recommended to help with hyperpigmentation as I work in the medical industry and Tranexamic Acid is used to prevent heavy bleeding, I had no idea it had skin care applications! I use several different products daily trying to reduce stubborn pigmentation caused by sun exposure on my cheeks, and whilst after a couple of years of using NIOD Re: Pigment has entirely removed the scattering of marks on my forehead, the ones on my cheeks remain. I was pleasantly surprised by how nicely this applies, it goes on smoothly, absorbs and layers well, and unlike other products I've used from this range it doesn't have the harsh chemical smell that, for example, the Polyglutamic Acid serum has. I have high hopes for this since it's an overnight treatment and seems more...substantial...than the other treatments I use. I'm definitely going to stick with it, I've already got a second bottle in reserve!
