Great Reputation
The new haircare range from Nu Co live up up to their name. I've been using the shampoo and conditioner for a week and there's a small difference to the thickness but whilst like other thickening shampoo's, this really moisturises and softens at the same time.

Disappointing
Cleans and soothes the scalp well and has a nice smell but dries out my hair (afro) so bad. Luckily I have a good conditioner to rectify this but I don't think a shampoo should dry out one’s hair so much unless its a clarifying one.

Works for me
In the last year or so, I've noticed a lot of shedding on my hair so really wanted to get something to improve the strength and thickness of my hair. After using this shampoo twice a week for the last few weeks, I can definitely see a reduction on the shedding and better overall strength in my hair. I also have very sensitive scalp and found this formula soothing and not irritating at all.

Thicker hair
I was sceptical about whether this would work, but I was impressed with how much thicker my hair was after the first wash. However, my hair needed conditioning after, so I will purchase the one that goes with this now I know the shampoo suits my hair.

Not good at all
It smells nice until your hair dries, then when you run your fingers through your hair you are left with a greasy scalp, dry ends and a frizzy mess on top of your head. Not worth it.

I live in London so I enjoy the clarifying nature of this shampoo. I also have a greasy scalp, which this product helps with. Low foam and perfume, minimal but effective. Definitely need a good condition afterwards!

Supa disappointing
I am a long time fan of The Nue Co. and repeat purchaser of their products, so when I saw they had created a S&C for hair like mine I didn't even read the description, I added to bag immediately and feeling confident I was going to be thrilled. After two weeks of usage I can say that I am not just indifferent to these products, I actively dislike them. Firstly there is no sensory pleasure in the usage, the shampoo has no scent and the conditioner smells faintly of Vosene. The formulations themselves feel cheap, like they've been thrown together quickly. After the first use I noticed my hair was bone dry and seemed to shed more than usual, but the roots were frizzy - the oldest trick in the book for 'thickening' and 'volumizing'. I persisted and it's only become worse of the following days, drier strands, shredded looking ends and now a greasier scalp than usual. I hate wasting product but I don't even know who I'd give this to to finish off. Especially given a friend of mine bought both too and has had an identical experience to mine.

Clean and soft hair
I am a huge fan of The Nue Co, and the Supa_Thick so I was super excited to try this and it did not disappoint. I used this as my 1st and 2nd an I think next time I will save this for my 2nd cleanse instead, purely based on I don't wash my hair very often so I find the 1st cleanse is more 'cleaning' vs penetrating my scalp. Nonetheless, I paired this with the conditioner and I love how it left my hair feeling super soft and shiny, and my scalp had volume without feeling heavy. I also love how minimal the packaging is, however, just make sure you are looking for 'shampoo' and 'conditioner' as there isn't much difference in appearance. Recommend and a repurchase from me!

I love it!
So personally, I like a shampoo that leaves my hair feeling very clean. This has apple cider vinegar in it and if you've ever mixed that into your shampoo you'll know you get a squeaky clean feeling to your hair so I wanted to mention the texture as not everyone is a fan of this. I have very high maintenance hair and my scalp tends to be in poor condition (dry scalp with lots of flaking and when I don't maintain this I experience A LOT of hair shedding). This alongside other things im using in my routine (glycolic and salicylic acid on my scalp pre washing) have really helped keep my scalp at bay and currently experiencing very minimal shedding. I also use the supa thick hair treatment pre shower which I really like. I think a shampoo isn't the most important part of a hair routine but definitely necessary to clear the scalp and using one with good ingredients (like this one plus its at a reasonable price point) definitely helps! Hope my review helps :)
