Bad/rancid smell
When I opened the bottle it smelled like salami, and in my experience, that means the oil has gone bad. I thought I had gotten a bad bottle but as I'm reading the reviews I see I'm not the only one. I don't know if that's the scent it's supposed to have (I highly doubt it), but I'm not going anywhere with my face stinking like that.

A face oil for people who don't like face oil
Simple and effective like all of The Ordinary products. I had a bout of troubled skin before and after my wedding. This stuff calmed my problem areas down, felt soothing and healing and absorbs beautifully. The smell doesn't bother me as I prefer something a little more natural in terms of scent and the results are worth it. If you want to venture into oil but don't want to aggravate your skin, Borage is your best pal.

Stinks
Anyone who says rosehip seed oil smells awful hasn't smelled this. It. Is. Rank. It might be cult but it's a no from me... I'm throwing it away and going back to my rosehip seed oil.

Beautiful oil
This is just lovely, moisturising, skin felt lovely, soft and bright the morning after use. It barely smells to me, just a light smell like any other seed oil.

The smell!!
I just tried it once and believe me, if you are sensitive to smells don't get near to this product. I don't care how good it might be but I will never use it again the smell is awful!

Works but STINKS
It's a lovely product and it worked on my dryness, spots, etc but honestly, it absolutely STINKS. It smells like gone off cooking sausages. I'm going to see if I can add some essential oil to it to mask the smell.

A great oil
The smell didn't bother me at all. I mean, it's a seed oil so I don't mind it actually smells like it. It doesn't congest my pores and a little goes a long way!

Amazing
This product is amazing for my cystic acne and calms any redness down. The smell isn’t awful, it just takes some time to get used to.

Stinky
I'm sure this product works wonders if you can get over the scent, but holy moly this stuff smells BAD. I am very sensitive to smells, particularly fishy smells and I just hate this stuff. After applying, I could smell it on myself for the rest of the day. I could smell it on everything I touched, even after washing my hands, and everything my face touched. So gross. If you have a bad sense of smell, go for it, but I would even be able to smell this on someone else and it would make me wretch. Fishy. Nasty.
