The Ordinary has firmly cemented itself as a leader in science-backed skin care. Taking the guesswork out of building a regime, it ditches unnecessary, filler ingredients for familiar, hard-working actives that deliver promising results. And your next essential is the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% (30ml), a brightening serum providing antioxidant protection.
Starring a water-soluble derivative of vitamin C, the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% (30ml) works to brighten, even skin tone and lessen the look of pigmentation.
Although less potent than direct L-ascorbic acid, ascorbyl glucoside offers high stability and comfortable use, making it ideal for sensitive skin. As for the results? How do you like the sound of more even, radiant-looking skin with the appearance of dark spots and fine lines lessened, plus protection from daily stressors? We can see the beaming luminosity already...

Great vitamin C boost
I really like this serum, it isn't greasy and leaves a matte finish on my skin whilst making it glow!

Good investment
I’ve chosen this product as my first experience with vitamin C, have been using this for a month and so far so good. I can definitely see a huge improvement on my skin in combination with a retinol (not using together). I think it’s a good product for a beginners in skincare however there are also better products just more expensive

Great for daily use
I've used 23% vitamin C, but found it quite harsh on my skin and was only able to use it every 2 to 3 days. This one however, I have been using daily without issues. I am so far pleased with the results, blemishes and dark spots are all lighter and less noticeable. Will definitely buy again.

THE ORDIANRY Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%
Good product, an effect seen from the first day. It's quite sticky on the skin, as all products with Vitamin C are, so using it only for night time. My skin is a mixed type, so it works perfectly as its not so strong.

Used as an alternative and stuck with it
After having done some research into what I needed to introduce to my skincare routine I chose this to use in the morning. After a month, I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the brightening and the general health of my skin. It absorbs quickly so I can get on with the rest of my morning routine quickly. I tried this as an alternative to the Vitamin C suspension 30 in silicone as that irritated me and I found it pilled a lot. This goes on smoothly and feels gentle on the skin. Very happy with the switch!

Nice serum
I enjoy using this serum as it absorbs quickly and does brighten the face a bit but it is so mild I can use niacinamide with it . I only gave this 4 stars because although I thankfully don’t notice any bad reactions with this product, I don’t use it every day and I have not been using it long enough to be able to report any lasting effects. Will update in a few weeks/ months time as I usually don’t notice positive effects with skin care products until I have used them for a couple of months at least.

not for me
I'm oily and acne prone. When I started using it, my skin was irritated and I'm pretty sure I can't handle ascorbic acid well. I think mature skin types will do better with it.

Could be better
This was my first experience with C vitamin products. I wanted to like it a lot, but this serum feels sticky on my skin. Skin feels dry and uncomfortable if I don't put moisturiser on the top of the serum. I have combination skin and dry feeling isn't something very common to me. I don't think I will try this serum again, but I am open to try other products from Ordinary.

Not worth the money
Makes the skin look glowing, temporarily. However, makes no difference in the long run. I felt like it's just make-up, washing your face after the long day will leave your face looking like it was before.

Amazing
The product is a serum which glides nicely on the skin. The product is user-friendly as the potency is slightly lower to allow tolerability. I would recommend.
