Great product
I have been using this for nearly two years. I only wish that these products were around when I was young but still it does the job well. Started using it when two years ago I bought a new serum from a well known high street chemist. It was £38 and even when I used it sparingly it ran out after two weeks. Just a great big waste of packaging and a tiny amount of product. Won’t use anything else than this.

plumping effect for the skin
I'm not entirely sure, because I started 2 products at the same time, but my skin is more even and plumped.... A slightly sticky texture first, but melts in with my moisturizer. For this price I had to try it, and I like it, but maybe I'll try another serum next time.

Works for me, I'm black, don't expect instant results
So I am a review freak and really selective about the things I put on my face as sometimes my skin can become irritated quickly. This was my first time trying this product, and to be honest it was last on my list of wants. All the other products I wanted to try were sold out, so I was kinda stuck with this but now i'm in love. The first time applying the product felt weird. It was sticky and tight BUT the stickiness goes away after a few weeks. I have combination skin, and I get the odd spots but you need to have a face routine and be patient before you see changes. My skin changed within a couple of weeks. My face feels tighter, smoother and I get complimented all the time. The only con is the fact it doesn't fade dark marks/high pigmentation that quickly - this product alone won't fix that issue. My skin isn't 'perfect' but you can tell it looks healthier. Definitely worth a try at least, especially for the price. This is a honest review - I got my brother and my mum hooked on this stuff and i'm only on my 1st bottle. Also you don't need much. Once your face gets used to the product it spreads, and I use AM and PM.

Not worth it
I have combination skin with a tendency towards acne, although I’ve learned how to control it. Had a good couple of months with no blemishes and the evening after applying this serum I had 3 whiteheads and more than normal oily T zone. I thought maybe it was because of the layering I had done with my usual skincare so a few days after the whiteheads were gone I tried again following it’s instructions without any additional steps (never fully absorbed and was tacky). Woke up next morning with more whiteheads. Not using again.

Disappointed
When I first started using The Ordinary products (about three or four years ago) my skin was transformed. Not sure if they've changed their formulas but my skin doesn't respond to any of their products anymore which is unfortunate. Used two bottles of this and I saw no difference.

i really love their brand but this made my skin feel sticky and had no effect other than making me feel like i had clear glue on my face!

Very good so far
Been using for 1 month and think it's a great serum for the price point.

Not good for oily skin
Didn't seem to do anything for me, except make my already oily skin very very shiny.

Bad reaction
Wanted to love as the reviews are great, but just didn’t agree with my fair, dehydrated & combination skin. Almost immediately felt burning sensation on the skin around my mouth, followed by lots of little bumps and the following day, some rather sore, red and tight cheeks and forehead. I also didn’t love the texture - mine was lumpy almost? Anyway, for the price is was worth a try and will gift to a friend to see if they have more luck!

nice stuff
Feels good on, and works under retinol/night cream. Even better the fine lines around my eyes are less noticeable!
