Good value

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

As far as retinol goes, this is really good value for the price.  I started slowly as I do with any new retinol, however unfortunately I did get a bit of irritation and redness at the beginning.  I didn't love this however as have had better experiences with other retinols and won't repurchase, but from a price perspective this is a good option if you're wanting to try.

Like it a lot

Doesn't dry out my skin and does not cause irritation, I also prefer the emulsion version over the other one as it does not fell oily on my skin. Have been using one month already this one and have been using the smaller percentage before for some months at this stage and I feel like my fine lines are less noticable (did not disappear, will not, but until they are softer appearing I am happy with the results)

Great starter retinol

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this recently as a gift for my mum and she's enjoying it so far. She's previously had bad reactions to squalane oil, so I didn't want to get anything including that, and this emulsion version doesn't include that, plus I imagined it would be a more pleasant texture for people who don't necessarily like the feeling of oils on their face. She's been using it every other day and has had no irritation at all, this is her first ever retinol so I'd absolutely say it's a great starter choice and I may well pick this one up myself soon. Great price too!

Love love love it!

So I love Retin A & it's derivatives & what they're capable of as an active ingredient as an anti-ageing skincare ingredient but I have extremely sensitive skin o even if I understand the science , I can't apply it to myself that easily. My favourite is Tretinoin but it's too powerful for my skin to handle, so I eased my skin into it by introducing OTC Retinol over the years in my skincare regime. I have tried a lot of OTC Retinol, & this by far is the most effective while going easy on my skin. It is also available in squalene (oil based) but I prefer this one that is the emulsion. I would highly recommend this as Retinol should be part of skincare arsenal & this is not only effective (2% is high for OTC) but is easy on the skin. I have spoken in detail about what are actives & what they do on my igtv channel @hajanders & spoken about The Ordinary's products too in length. Do check it out to learn more. Thank You.

This is a great way to try a retinoid without breaking the bank. It's also gentle so eases you in gently. Would recommend.
