Works

This helps to moisturise a dry area on my scalp, but I’m cautious to use very little so it doesn’t look greasy.

Dry scalp

If you have a dry scalp I would recommend this product. After having used it just for a week I’ve noticed my scalp is less irritated and I don’t scratch as much.

Works well but can look a bit oily

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've given this serum 4 stars because it really does hydrate my scalp and soothe it when it feels irritated. I love dry shampoo and sometimes if I overdo it and apply so many layers of then my scalp can become a wee bit irritated. Applying this serum instantly takes that itchy feeling away. The reason that I love dry shampoo so much is that my hair gets quite oily at the roots and I like the appearance of clean voluminous hair. For me, The Ordinary Hair Care Natural Moisturising Factors and HA can't really be used on a daily basis as it appears quite oily at my roots. If you have very dry hair then this will be perfect for daily use but I tend to just use it at night if I plan to wash my hair in the morning.

Great

A good affordable scalp care serum which improves dryness. Comfortable on the scalp and I like that you can see where you have put the product on due to the white colour.

Targets dry flakey scalp

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I use this very night before bed and have noticed a huge difference, I no longing have itchy flakey scalp. I use about a full dropper, dropping little dots of product all over my scalp then take a hairbrush to work the the product through out my hair. It feels a little greasy at first but by morning to totally fine

Effective for Dry Scalps

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I use a full dropper, massaged directly onto my scalp, straight after washing my hair while it's damp. I find it really helps with hair frizziness and the comfort of my scalp. Then, I don't use it again till after I next wash my hair again. I've experimented and this is what works for me.

Mixed feelings

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

This really helps my scalp when it feels itchy, but I have no idea how you are meant to make 2 drops cover your scalp. It just gets into my hair so I need to use way more and then it makes it greasy. Fine if you plan to wash your hair the next day. Nice and soothing.

Disappointed

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love The Ordinary products but I was really disappointed with how it left my hair looking greasy especially after the description had said it wouldn’t. It’s fine to use overnight if you plan on washing your hair the following day but I wouldn’t recommend it on freshly washed hair.
