Stripping back unnecessary packaging and misleading ingredients, The Ordinary offers an abundance of brilliant, high-performance products at eye-wideningly reasonable prices – and their Squalane Cleanser is no exception! Carefully formulated for all skin types, this clever potion dissolves make up and the day's dirt while simultaneously moisturising with a combination of squalane and other lipophilic esters.
This gentle cleanser is anything but ordinary, removing make up and impurities as it retains your skin's moisture – unlike some harsher cleansers, there's no need to worry about tightness after using this. Star of the show is squalane, a first-class hydrator that's found naturally in the skin, helping to prevent loss of moisture and boost suppleness. This combines with other lipophilic esters to dissolve make up and unwanted grime for clean and clog-free pores. The hard-working formula feels balm-like when first applied, changing to a clear oil-like texture when warmed into your skin – an important feat that allows emulsifying sucrose esters to capture the dissolved make up and dirt and rinse them away. Free from soap, which can cause irritation or 'strip' the skin, this crowd-pleasing cleanser respects your complexion's natural epidermal lipids, making it suitable for all skin types – even sensitive ones.
Squalane, Aqua (Water), Covo-Caprylate/Carpate,Glycerin, Sucrose Stearate, Ethycal Macadamiate, Malic Acid, Trocopherol, Hydroxymethoxyphenyl Decanone, Sucrose Laurate, Sucrose Dilaurate, Sucrose Trilaurate, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate,Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Isoceteth-20, Sodium Polyacrylate, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Ethylhexylglycerin,Chlorphenesin

Reduced texture but left skin tight.
I used to use micellar water because I don't wear much makeup anyway so I couldn't be bothered with a wash-off cleanser, but I noticed small bumps all over my cheeks so I picked this out because it was cheap and I didn't want to spend a lot. After 3 weeks of twice-daily use my cheeks are smooth however my skin is left feeling a bit tight. This is normal as I have dry skin but just a warning to use a hydrating toner after.

The best
This is the best cleanser I have ever used. I have dry, sensitive skin and even after one use it makes a massive difference! My skin feels softer, doesn’t feel dry and leaves me with a nice glow. I have tried so many cleansers but nothing beats it, amazing for the price too, would recommend.

It's so effective!
This cleanser is the first one to convince me to give up any other types that involve tissues and cotton discs, as I just couldn't believe how well it does its job with only rubbing it into the skin and then washing with water. I used to waste away tons of tissue trying to get my stubborn makeup out. Definitely value for money and low waste!

Comforting cleanser.
I use this first thing or if I’ve not had too much makeup on. I wouldn’t expect it to get rid of a full face of slap! I just enjoy using it as a nice way to feel fresh and cleansed first thing to kick off my morning routine. My skin is dry and it doesn’t feel stripped after using. A good little product for a really reasonable price.

Amazing product
The only cleanser that’s ever worked for my acne prone skin. Also the only cleanser I’ve repurchased. Amazing results.

Not for me
Unfortunately, I’m part of that 0.01% of people that this did not work well on. I really wanted it to work but it made me dry (even tho I’m oily and this is an oil cleanser)...

Acne
You can't deny this does clean your skin and removes makeup, although If you have a history with breakouts or acne, I would advise you to avoid. my problem area with acne/spots is on my lower chin, and I can keep this under control usually, but since adding this cleanser into my routine, and testing on my skin for a few weeks to give it a fair shot, my acne has flared up so much, and created patches elsewhere on my face also. It has completely dried out my chin( main problem area) and make it very itchy, dry and painful.
