The Ordinary has firmly cemented itself as a leader in science-backed skin care. Taking the guesswork out of building a regime, it ditches unnecessary, filler ingredients for familiar, hard-working actives that deliver promising results. A case in point is the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (30ml), a gentle serum designed to smooth, brighten and plump.
Want to improve the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin while you sleep? Cue The Ordinary's Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres (30ml) treatment.
At the centre of this water-free formula is L-ascorbic acid (AKA the purest form of vitamin C) which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. Famed for its brightening abilities, this acid reduces the appearance of an uneven skin tone and dark spots. That's not all though; with the infusion of hyaluronic acid spheres, this treatment also hydrates and plumps the skin. It's ideal to use at bedtime, so you can wake up with a radiant, supple and more youthful-looking complexion.
Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, Bht.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Apply a small amount to the face once daily, ideally in the evening. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Use sun protection during the day. A tingling sensation can be expected; if the sensation is too strong, the formula can be mixed with other oils of your preference before each application to reduce the strength.

Itches & grainy
I really wanted to love this, and whilst my skin looks dewy and feels soft in the morning, I can’t quite get over the grainy texture and it makes my face itch. It also smells a little like copper pennies or vinegar, which I can cope with, but the itching is to much. I’ll get though this tube, but won’t purchase again. It may just be my skin though, as theres some great reviews on here. I still love the ordinary & will continue to purchase, I just don’t get on with this product sadly 🤷🏻♀️I gave 3 stars, as my skin does look nice in the morning 👍🏼

great product
I love this product. I have been using it for a couple of years and it has a great smoothing effect on my skin. Although the guidance is to use in the morning I prefer to use it in the eve as part of the cleansing/toning/moisturising routine since it does sting a little. Leaving time between applications of different products helps too :)

Tingly, itchy, sits on skin
I have normal skin which can veer towards dry sometimes. I use this in the AM (the packaging does say preferably use in the PM though but "preferably" doesn't mean absolutely). For me the tingly sensation turns itchy very quickly, fortunately moisturiser cools it down a little. My biggest problem with this is no matter how little I use, it just doesn't soak into my skin at all. It just sits there feeling grainy and greasy all at once. I can't say I've noticed huge changes and if anything the glowy nature of my skin is more likely due to the product (and anything I apply on top) just sitting there. Not for me which is a shame because the price is fab.

Feels bizarre but works great
I absolutely hate the way this feels when it goes on. It's gritty and feels weirdly dry and is generally a bizarre texture. I still give it 5 stars because my skin absolutely adores it. I only use it once a week but I always wake up the next day with my skin looking bright and firm.

Peeling and hydration in one
I use this pm only. It tingles only lightly, nicely. The first days it had a sandy feeling when spread, but now less and less so. My skin looks more radiant, healthy.

Best Vit C serum!
I just love this product! It works like none other, and I even like the slightly grainy texture by now. Brilliant.

Works!
It leaves my skin really soft but it does sting a bit on application. The texture is also a bit grainy, not very smooth to apply.

does wonders for my texture, wasn’t expecting it to be this good for the price! i don’t find that it stings personally and it doesn’t dry my skin out either, love this product.

Good
This is the first Vitamin C cream I've ever used! It was good! Initially I used to get white cast and I tried different methods such as mixing with serum or moisturiser but what worked best for me is, applying it on your fresh skin, right after you wash your face. Then I don't get any white cast. The order I follow is: Vitamin C, Hyaluronic Acid, Moisturiser, Sunscreen
