The Ordinary has firmly cemented itself as a leader in science-backed skin care. Taking the guesswork out of building a regime, it ditches unnecessary, filler ingredients for familiar, hard-working actives that deliver promising results. A case in point is the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (30ml), a gentle serum designed to smooth, brighten and plump.
Want to improve the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin while you sleep? Cue The Ordinary's Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres (30ml) treatment.
At the centre of this water-free formula is L-ascorbic acid (AKA the purest form of vitamin C) which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. Famed for its brightening abilities, this acid reduces the appearance of an uneven skin tone and dark spots. That's not all though; with the infusion of hyaluronic acid spheres, this treatment also hydrates and plumps the skin. It's ideal to use at bedtime, so you can wake up with a radiant, supple and more youthful-looking complexion.
Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, Bht.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
Apply a small amount to the face once daily, ideally in the evening. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Use sun protection during the day. A tingling sensation can be expected; if the sensation is too strong, the formula can be mixed with other oils of your preference before each application to reduce the strength.

Not a fan
The formula is strong but I'm not a fan of the texture. It's grainy and doesn't absorb into my face and just sits on top like a film. I don't particularly have sensitive skin and it still stings so I can't imagine it being great for people with actual sensitive skin. I prefer the ascorbic acid 8% and alpha arbutin 2% serum. I might try it with hyaluronic acid to see if it feels any better because I've still got half a tube sitting around

Love this Vitamin C! Read before you order it
I’m an Indian with pretty oily skin. I usually have acne concerns around my forehead and chin. There were some really stubborn invisible breakouts on my chin that were painful. I started using ordinary products a few months but hadn’t included Vitamin C into my regime. I bought my first tube a couple of weeks ago and started using it religiously on alternate nights along with Hyaluronic serum. Within 2 weeks, I could see my acne scars reduce and skin so much clearer. And most importantly the bumps on my chin came to head and they’re finally cleaning up. The consistency of this one may not be the best and will also sting, but if you build up resistance with slow usage, it can do wonders to your skin. Hope this helps!

Erm... not really good.
I had high expectations for this product but it didn't live up to them. The texture is grainy which we already knew (very runny as well). Nothing major but when applied to the skin it adapts a sand-like composition almost like a scrub which is not good for sensitive skin. It also peels off and becomes very thick, I had to use a toner to get it off my hands. The Ordinary products are usually amazing but this one let me down. The Inkey List Vitamin C Serum is a better choice in this case.

Great
Only just started using this and I really like it. The only complaint I have is the packaging as it’s far too runny and I always accidentally use too much because it runs out of the packaging so easily. I feel like I’ve almost used it all and I’ve only used this product twice so far! I think a change in packaging would be beneficial!

Not for sensitive skin
Not suitable for my sensitive skin. The texture is very grainy and even mixed with my hyaluronic acid serum it still doesn't sit well on the skin. After a few applications, my face was very red and bumpy and so I had to stop using it.

Powerful and gritty
I have used many tubes of this little powerful gem and will continue to use. Not for smooth elegant formula lovers, or sensitive skin, it packs a punch in a gritty suspension that is very effective in brightening and evening out skin tone. I tend to use it at night or weekends, brilliant results everytime. But it takes time getting used to it and appreciating it.

LOVE! Just use it correctly..
I LOVE this Vit C! Use it at night only, after cleansing, maybe pop an essence on, then l a little Buffet or CAIS, then go in with this, sparingly! Let the little scrubby bits get to work, wash your hands, follow up with oil or night cream, wash your hands again (to stop the fake tan smell) Wake up with new, glowy, smooth, poreless skin. Hyperpigmentation is a frequent concern for black skin and this works wonders for me, almost as effective as the Exfolikate treatment. Will use this until they dare to discontinue.

No complaints here
This product takes some getting used to. I got my first tube in September 2020. It is January 2021. I still have it. I use a tiny bit and it works great when layered with other serums, especially after I wear makeup all day. It does tingle, but if it's too uncomfortable, STOP USING IT.

Gritty, runny and stains
The texture was surprising, it's quite gritty and runny. You can easily apply too much. It's quite oily once mas applied to the skin so definitely a PM use. I noticed in the morning I had orange hands and pillow case! I did some research and turns out some products of vit c oxidises and cause the skin to turn orange like self tan. Was not impressed, my silk pillowcase has been ruined. The price is good, not sure if it's the best version of vit c.
