UD Junkie

I love this palette, though it looks intimidating as well as not the usual eye shadow colours I am comfortable with, it took me at surprise how easy the colours are to work with as well as the formula to blend. The shimmer colours are truly sensational and gives me galaxy vibes with the blue/purple/green hue shimmers. Just a cute little tip that purple works really well for the brown eye people like me, I felt like it really brought out my eye colour.

Disappointing

I was so excited for this palette, I love the idea and the colours, so Urban Decay! BUT the shadows are not very pigmented, there is a lot of fall out and they are dusty. I really like the shade lucid but the majority of the shadows do not look how they do in the pan. So disappointed as I love urban decay and I thought it love this palette. Shadows are difficult to work with.

Some shades a bit hard to work with

Tried this palette for the first time yesterday, it's my first urban decay palette too. I loved how the colours swatched, I did get a bit of kick up in the pan though when I dipped my brush into it. The colours worked amazing but some of the shades like the neutral mattes were a bit hard to work with. I love the lucid shade but I had to apply it twice to get the shimmer to show. Overall it's a fantastic palette.

Not sure I love it.

This arrived today and I've been playing with it since- as someone who's new to UD Naked palettes, I just expected more... bang. I love the mix of neutrals and purples, but the matte neutrals swatch a little flat and they're quite dusty. That can be fixed with a good primer, but its a bit irritating. I can't forgive the shade V.R though- it looks great, but falls completely off. It feels gritty and the sparkles just disappear. Where do they go? Heaven knows. This isn't even fallout, it just seems to vanish into the ether. It reminds me of those old stardust eyeshadows UD used to make, which would crumble into a cloud of impossible to remove glitter if you so much as looked at them funny. Lucid is a gem- I'm obsessed with its shape-shifting appearance. Put it on the inner corner over another shade, instant lift and interest. But the deeper shades are again, pretty hard to work with. It takes a bit more packing on than I expected to get up to intensity (though maybe that's a good thing, as they do work well as light washes of colour.) I don't like the included brush, but I didn't expect to- the fluffier end seems to flick colour off rather than actually blend it. So all in... I'm just not sure. I think I'll get good use out of it, but I can't help but feel a little let down by the lack of pigment in some shades and the dust flying everywhere in others.
