My journey continues

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

When I purchased this I felt I was taking a chance as I didn't know the brand and the price for what I was buying felt a bit much for the amount you get, the first night I used the balm, straight away my skin felt clogged, I truly couldn't sleep by how odd my skin smelt, I had to rewash my face and use a cleanser to get the balm off, BUT I kept using it every night to remove makeup, then it began to sting my eyes, I won't be getting this again and shall be looking for another makeup remover once again.

Great everyday cleanser

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Bought this as I wanted something for my first cleanse. Was looking for a balm that wouldn’t clog my pores or break me out as I am currently on Accutane. I also wanted something that was thick enough to fully remove makeup, SPF etc. It’s perfect. It doesn’t sting my eyes like a lot of balm/oil cleansers do. It is thick so I wouldn’t personally use alone without following with a gel cleanser. I use this for first step cleanser and then follow with The Inkey List SA gel cleanser. Match made in acne prone heaven. Only negative is that I did expect this tub to be slightly larger. One tub lasts me only 4 weeks.

My favourite

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I don't typically wear make-up, so I can't speak to how good this is at removing it. It is a pleasure to use though, my favourite cleanser that I keep coming running back to after I try anything else. I love the subtle, fresh scent, I love that you put it on dry skin, I love feeling and watching it turn milky when it gets wet, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh but not tight or dry.

Decent but not wow

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

It was good at removing eye makeup - gets everything off. The smell is ok, just not to my taste. It left my skin feeling a bit oily so I only use this when I double cleanse, using a foam cleanser afterwards. I'll try another balm next time

Smells incredible but..

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

This really transports you to a spa as it smells incredible, but I only use it to loosen all my make up and then remove it with a cream cleanser. It does leave a slight residue on skin but again, that is removed with the second cleanse. All in all, I'm happy with this and wish all skin care could smell this amazing but would potentially look around for alternatives when it's finished.

Middle of the range

Strong ish smell which didn't feel natural. Not drying, for me. No difficulty taking off my waterproof mascara but didn't seem to do much for my pores. All in all, I don't think I'll be going for a balm type cleanser again.

It's alright

Bought this a few weeks ago and whilst it smells absolutely divine, it does not do a great job at taking off makeup or sunscreen. I only wear a tinted moisturiser on a daily basis so not a lot of makeup and it doesn't do a great job at removing it. Price is okay but could pick up a better balm cleanser elsewhere for the same price.

Don't waste your money

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I prematurely wrote a review for this product the other day before really giving it a proper weeks try. I can now say do not waste your money on this! I dread having to take my makeup off with this every night due to the horrific job it does at removing my eye makeup (Glossier's milky jelly cleanser, Fresh's soy cleanser and Clinque's cleansing balm have never had this problem) and also for the horrible greasy layer it leaves on after you've washed it off. Hyram (Skincare with Hyram on YouTube) wasn't exaggerating in his review when he said he disliked it so much he had to scoop out the product to bin and recycle the pot.

Good Cleansing Balm

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

A nice cleansing balm for the price, it has a strong smell, but luckily it's a nice scent. Gets rid of makeup and sunscreen easily but I found it to be a bit greasy and you definitely need to double cleanse to get the residue off your face.

It's fine

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

It does a good job of taking all my makeup off including my eyes and an almond size amount is all that's needed, but when you rinse it off, it doesn't feel like you're rinsing it off completely, it feels like there's a slightly greasy layer still on? Fine for a first initial cleanse and a cheaper alternative to Clinique's 'take the day off balm
