Excellent mascara
I am usually a Lancôme mascara girl, this has made me defect, which is a very hard job. Beautiful mascara, no smudging and lasts. Separates lashes and lengthens.

The worst mascara I’ve ever tried
I had high hopes for this mascara after a positive review from a well-respected beauty journalist that I respect and admire (I still do). It is hands down the worst mascara I have ever tried. I have shirt, fine, straight lashes. The brush is massive - not my ideal but I know that suits some people. However, the mascara goes on incredibly unevenly, clumps up immediately and looks awful. I have tried applying with a finer (Ilia) brush and it is only marginally better. I have given up as it is unwearable. One star for its staying power, which is good!

My main concern for a mascara for me is it not transferring onto my skin giving me panda eyes. This certainly doesn’t transfer. In fact it stays out till I use a cleanser to remove. Which it removes nicely without having to scrub the sensitive eye area. It’s beautiful packaging. The brush is large and transfers only the lashes perfectly. I don’t feel it makes the lashes any longer but then again this isn’t something I was looking for. It doesn’t clump even when I apply a few coats and doesn’t look messy. Would I buy again ? Mmm id probably try another just to see if I could find one with all these pros but one that builds up for length as well. This is trustworthy though to stay put and look pretty !

I'm not ashamed to admit I expect a lot from a mascara - it needs to give length, volume without clumping, last all day without smudging onto my eye lids and yet melt away with just a touch of cleansing balm at night - and finally the search is over! Apparently the Vieve team spent 3 years developing this formula and it has absolutely been worth the wait, my new favourite and very worthy of 5 stars.

Surprised it lives up to the hype
I'm usually a Maybelline mascara girl through and through, have tried so many different brands and styles but always go back to the classics so didn't expect much from this but thought I'd try it as a treat as I had a gift voucher to use.
