Buildable and buttery
This is my second purchase of Vieve’s new complexion balm foundation, I purchased shade 300 as I wanted a deeper shade (than my normal shade 220) for days when I am wearing self tan. Shade 300 is perfect. It blends beautifully. Skin Nova Complexion Balm is perfect for days when you want coverage but don’t want to wear a heavy foundation, equally it is perfect for days when you want more coverage as it is buildable, Unlike many other foundations this foundation feels weightless on my skin, which I love. Infused with many fab skincare ingredients is a bonus. Highly recommend.

This is a stunning formula it’s melts into the skin like butter and leaves the perfect your skin but better. My only negative is the shade matching. I have really struggled and have bought 4 different shades. Takes a little mixing of two shades to get it perfect which is not ideal.

So impressed with this! Definitely heavier than a skin tint but not as thick as a foundation. Gives a beautiful glow to the skin and coverage can be built up. My only negative would be I don’t think there’s enough neutral shades in the shade range, do think they need to expand the shades available.

Too heavy
I found this balm to be visibly heavy/cakey both when I applied it to dry skin and over the Vieve Skin Nova primer. I used a small, pea-sized amount for the whole face and found that the balm settled into pores and caught on hairs. You might be able to get away with using this on a night out, but I think it’s far too heavy for daytime wear.

heavier than a skin tint, lighter than a foundation
I love this! I'm a skin tint girly so not into heavy bases/foundations at the moment. I added more drops of a hyaluronic acid to this and it gave the the perfect coverage- still skin-like and glowy!
