After spending decades in the beauty industry, Virtue’s founders thought nothing could surprise them – until they found Alpha Keratin 60ku, a transformative protein that’s identical to the keratin in your own hair, meaning it binds directly to areas of damage and fills them (without weighing strands down). Thanks to this, Recovery Shampoo rebuilds damaged hair with each use, while also gently dissolving build-up and replenishing vital nutrients to leave locks healthy, soft and supple.
Fancy a shampoo that rebuilds damage with every use? Us too! Enter, Virtue’s Recovery Shampoo, a game-changing way to cleanse and care for your (increasingly) magnificent mane. A true innovation in hair care, Virtue’s advanced formulations are enriched with Alpha Keratin 60ku, a whole, human keratin born from regenerative medicine. Since this is identical to the keratin in your hair, the protein is instantly recognised, binding directly to areas of damage and filling them – not just coating strands or weighing them down. This Recovery Shampoo also gently dissolves build-up and replenishes vital nutrients to leave hair as healthy, soft and supple as possible. Alongside the advanced keratin, the formula is enriched with hydrolysed quinoa to boost moisture retention and enhance colour and shine, alongside baobab seed oil, a rich, silky oil that grants moisture and grapefruit extract, brimming with vitamin C and antioxidants to revitalise the scalp and restore hair’s vibrancy and shine. Ideal for dry, damaged and over-worked hair, this rich, nurturing blend smells of fresh wood and clean citrus from coconut and yuzu extracts.

Great shampoo
The best shampoo I've tried. My hair is baby thin, dry and curly. This shampoo nourishes the hair beautifully and does not make it heavy. Wonderful product.

Would never buy myself
I received a 60ml travel size shampoo in Hair Heros Kit at CultBeauty, and I am so glad I got to try this shampoo this way. The hype is huge around Virtue at the moment and I could applause their marketing team, because they are doing a great job at making Virtue look great. However, having tried the so hyped up Recovery line from them, I can tell you it is not worth the money nor the hype. Smell is okay though not my favourite. At first I loved the smell, only later on to realise that it is irritating to me. Shampoo has a thicker consistency it is not super watery, lathers really well. But, I am pretty sure it breaks out my skin anywhere it touches it, on the scalp, on my face, and I have not ever had that, not even with Dove or L`Oreal stuff. It also tangles my hair badly, I need sth super conditioning after it so how does this help to recover hair? Seems like the opposite to me. My hair is very thin, fine (don`t have a lot of it), it is also blonde. Usually shampoos are either too heavy for my thin hair or they tangle up and dry out my blonde hair too much. So it is rather hard for me to find a good balance. This was definintely not it for me. Did not notice it making my hair look nicer or recovered, in fact, only worse I would say. It would dry out my hair so much so that it would look bad, and my hair tends to get oily and weighted down by products most of the time. This more so felt like a bad volumising line. Anyway, would not recommend and will never by myself, so grateful I got to try it beforehand. Oh, and before you assume that Dove and L`Oreal is all I use, I only gave those as examples as to how they make my hair feel and/or look. I have tried a lot of haircare, Redken, Ouai, Joico, Kevin Murphy, Klorane, Phyto and many others.

Very good
This does what it says. My over processed hair was improved from first use and keeps on getting better. However, I don’t think it lathers that well, I seem to use a lot and the fragrance is rather like custard and it’s the consistency of egg! But it is a good shampoo.

Better than most for very fine hair
I have baby fine hair and, whilst this recommended shampoo is the best I've tried for a long time, my hair gets weighed down if I use any other products on top of the shampoo. Unlike one of your reviewers I find that even the tiniest hint of conditioner or styling product flattens my hair completely. All the adverts for volume shampoos seem aimed at long, heavy hair. I wish someone would come up with products that lift very soft mature hair which can't cope with any conditioners. But I will be buying this product again. I just hope I don't lose my detangling comb!

Good product
The shampoo has really helped my very fine hair which tends to frizz in the damp weather. Even better when used with the conditioner.

Good, but nothing special
To be honest, can't understand why everybody is so obsessed with it. I've tried A LOT of shampoos and this one is just good. That's all
