Crowdsourcing concepts for targeted treatments and bringing them into fruition, Volition’s co-founders are putting their following first – enabling YOU, the consumer, to tell them which products you need in your life before they make your dreams a reality. Filling the gaps in your skin care collection with game-changing products that meet your requirements, Volition is forging the future of product development – we’re predicting huge things.
Smoothing. Brightening. Soothing… Volition’s phenomenal Strawberry-C Brightening Serum is brimming with (you guessed it!), strawberry extracts to gently diminish dark spots, tackle scarring and restore your skin’s uniformity.
Inspired by one innovator’s account of her summers spent “smearing her face with strawberry stems (and being obsessed with the results)”, Volition’s co-founders set out on their quest to distil these effects into one super serum. A rich source of vitamin C – a renowned luminosity booster – this silky elixir will visibly brighten, control excess oil and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles so skin appears smooth, toned and wonderfully ‘glowy’. Also laced with supercharged kakadu plum (one of the most potent sources of vitamin C and a brilliant shield between skin and pollution), as well as plumping hyaluronic acid and calming cucumber water, this summery cocktail recover skin’s ‘spring’.

Meh
It didn’t really do much but it was nice to use and smells ‘fresh’. I have oily / combo skin with large pores around my nose/cheeks.

Another one of those serums that my skin does not absorb
What would I have loved this product, the ingredients sound great and I love Vitamin C serums as they are very well tolerated by my skin for an even, glowing complexion. Unfortunately this serum stayed on my skin and was not absorbed so I can't say anything about the effect: The product did not absorb at all, no matter how hard I tried to massage it in, hours later I could rub it off. Too bad.

Skin is glowing
Since I started using this product with my retinol and SPF my skin has started to glow and I have had loads of compliments on this. It doesn’t smell like strawberries but I hate smelly products on my sensitive skin. The serum is an in-between thickness not gloopy and easily absorbed. Skin feels hydrated and I’m all around happy with the results

Nice but no substitute
So this is a nice hydrating serum - it's somewhere between a milk and a gel. First up I will say it is a good hydrator. I have seen no vitamin C benefits so far, and compared to my usual Vitamin C and magnesium milky serum it hasn't had any particular impact on my skin except to hydrate. I want unscented skincare so the fact it isn't effervescing with strawberry scent doesn't bother me in the least, but it does have a watery cucumbery smell which is faint and not particularly pleasant, but it doesn't hang about. Basically, in lockdown my trusty Glossier serums were first out of stock (Super Pure) and then a long lag on delivery. So, even though I am married to them, I found alternatives. Significantly more expensive alternatives at that. To replace Super Pure (the best niacindamide and zinc serum ever in my opinion) I bought Just Breathe Clarifying Serum by Versed, to replace Super Glow I got this odd little strawberry thing, and to boost hydration (Superbounce a gorgeous milky hyaluronic serum with vitamin B) I went back to Hydraluron Gel which is still amazing, and also bought the Alpha H Vitamin B serum. Frankly none of them are as good or better than the Glossier serums and are significantly more pricey. They are unsurpassed and I will not stray from them again, despite the lag in delivery time. I have just ordered in bulk. This serum in its own right is ok - the dropper is hopeless it doesn't pick up enough product - you also need quite a lot of this on dry skin, and given how expensive it is and how little vitamin c benefit it gives, you don't get much bang for your buck. It's a pass from me.

I like it!
Mixed reactions on the reviews here but I really like this. It is light and goes on lovely, no stickiness for me (a little goes a long way!). Lovely ingredients and definitely made my skin feel hydrated and fresh/brighter. It doesn't have the same effects as some of the more 'serious' vitamin C serums but that's not what I bought it for. Very little smell, definitely not bad. I think it's lovely!

Not what was expecting
Really didn’t do anything for my skin. I didn’t notice any vitamin C benefits. Texture didn’t feel very nourishing on the skin. Also it’s very pricey and I was expecting a nicer smell.

Gentle vit C
This is a really great serum if you want to dip your toe into using vitamin C if you have sensitive skin. Not as potent as lots of brightening serums out there but it's also super hydrating and soothing for your skin. I have combo skin and this is great for calming my skin when I've been going ott on the acids and makes my complexion look great.

A bit misleading
The texture is thick, luscious, and leaves my skin silky. However, like other reviews mentioned: it is more of a hydrator rather than a brightener. My skin won't glow, but it does feel smooth and hydrated. My biggest disappointment though was that I purchased a pink serum in a pink bottle, called "Strawberry C" yet there is NO strawberry scent to it whatsoever! It purely smells like cucumber. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice, fresh scent, not unpleasant, just completely contradictory to the design and packaging of the product. It really put me off. One of the reviews even said: 'it has a lovely, subtle, fresh strawberry scent.'? Don't be fooled.

Do not feel the vit C benefits, so not worth it for the price.
The serum is in a gorgeous bottle. A little thick and sticky when applying. Because of the consistency, It took me a while to figure out what was the right amount. I don't see any brightening effect (was using CEO glow before and liked it better), it is moderately hydrating though. In short, nothing to write home about...

Wishful thinking
I really thought I would like this product, but sadly it didn't do much for my skin. The results were extremely subtle and the scent wasn't what I had in mind.
