Put four to five drops onto your palms. Hold your palms to your face and take a moment to inhale the natural fragrance and let it settle your mind. Now smooth the oil onto your face and neckline using gentle upward motions. Use your fingertips to gently pat the oil into the area around your eyes. Be gentle with your skin – don’t pull or stretch – so that it retains its elasticity. Allow a moment for absorption, and now your skin is perfectly prepped for make-up or for SPF.

Wonderful nourishing oil
Received the full size in the CB advent calendar and I am already in love with it. It’s gentle and nourishing but hydrating and it makes my skin look incredible. I’ve used it both in the day if I’m not doing much (and let’s face it who’s doing much these days?) and at night post retinol. Would be suitable for many different skin types including sensitive. I am 31 with normal combo skin that’s dryer during the winter. Agree the packaging is awful, would much prefer a pipette like the Sunday Riley oils. Definitely worth getting a sample.

Even out skin tone
Received it in the CB advent calendar, didn’t think much of it when started to use it, pleasantly surprised with results, not as brightening compare with Sunday Riley CEO oil, but it gave more even skin tone and nourishing feel, perfect for winter. One star deducted for the packing, needs a glass dropper. Will definitely repurchase!

Love - great oil
I use this primarily after my retinol for lock in the treatment and make sure I don’t get too dry or peel but with the central heating on a lot, I use it almost every night as the last step in my routine. I have oily skin and have very first signs of aging, very fine lines and just 2-3 drops is perfect for me. Will definitely repurchase a big bottle

Wonderful oil
I adore the entire super seed line from Votary and this one is no exeption. I prefer to use it in Autumn/Winter time. Rich but still a light feeling in application. This would be lovely following a routine that includes Retinol. I am just enjoying using this entire Super seed oil line

Not for me
I have oily skin and still wanted to give this facial oil a go, but I just could not make it work for me. Recommended use seems to be a few drops of oil directly on your face as a moisturiser, but even two drops are too much for my skin. It doesn't absorb and makes the shine on my T-zone, cheeks, and chin even worse. I tried mixing a single drop into either my gel-cream moisturiser or my night cream and the same issue persisted: refused to absorb, long-lasting shine. Maybe if your skin is dehydrated it'll drink this right up, but I can't recommend it for oily skin; there are better facial oils suitable for my skin type.

Great purchase!
I have rosacea, oily and acne-prone skin. First, I thought how could oily skin have a facial oil on it but through Caroline Hirons’s recommendation, I bought this facial oil and it did save my skin whenever my skin showed irritation from a harsh product because I like to exfoliate and sometimes I did it too much. So, this oil will calm my skin down. Because of my oily skin, I only use 2-3 drops maximum so that I will not look like I’m going to fry a french fries.

Lovely facial oil
Lovely smell and not too greasy. It definitely made my skin look and feel more hydrated. Just a few drops at a time are fine. I use under a night cream if my skin is feeling particularly dry.

Beautiful
Went slightly heavy handed on the retinol the last few nights and my skin was feeling tight dry and itchy. Smoothed this on and immediately felt relief. The formula is beautiful and luxurious, my skin immediately looked calm and radiant. I was skeptical after all the hype around this but it is definitely warranted. Really good they do a smaller size to try before committing to the bigger version, which I have just added to my basket! Honestly try this you won’t be disappointed. Gorgeous.

Nutritious for your skin
