Built on the art and ingredients of Ayurveda — and to preserve its ancient tradition and the craft that has been handed down through skilled artisans for generation upon generation, RANAVAT is an innovative beauty brand founded by South Asian scientist turned entrepreneur Michelle Ranavat. Handmade by a family that has been working with the sacred kansa metal (a mix of copper and tine) for over 900 years, the Kansa Wand: Ayurvedic Facial Massage Tool can be wielded to depuff, soften fine lines and stimulate energy flow.
A weighty, luxurious tool that promotes collagen and elastin production, work RANAVAT's Kansa Wand: Ayurvedic Facial Massage Tool over your forehead, jaw and cheekbones to boost circulation and stimulate your 'energy points'.
According to ancient Ayurvedic wisdom, the kansa metal is thought to be more healing than gold or silver and helps increase your skin's ability to heal. It's a sacred blend of copper and tin, that aids in the body's natural collagen and elastin production and promotes skin repair. Inspired by similar tools that have been used for over 5,000 years by Ayurvedic practitioners, the Kansa Wand not only promotes detoxification but also plumps, depuffs, firms and softens fine lines. You'll see it working by the greying effect on your skin; it's easily rinse-able by water and simply means that your skin is detoxing.
Metal tip made of copper and tin, the wand is made from teak wood.
For the latest information, it is recommended to review the ingredient list printed on the packaging of the product prior to usage or consumption.
The Kansa wand is used to massage the marma or "energy points" on your body. First, apply a few drops of your favourite serum (Radiant Rani Brightening Saffron Serum pairs nicely with the wand). Copper is a healing metal that will enhance the function of an antioxidant-rich serum or oil as you gently massage.
You can massage in any way that feels best. Some recommendations are:
1. Massage the wand in circles around the middle of the forehead five times in a counterclockwise direction. Repeat five times in a clockwise direction.
2. Draw the figure-eight pattern on the forehead five times. This calms the mind and emotions, stimulates memory, and improves concentration. It’s also helpful for relieving sinus headaches.
3. Massage in a zigzag pattern across the forehead five times, using gentle pressure.
4. Clench your teeth so that you can feel the jaw muscle. Massage with firm pressure in a circular motion on this point with the wand. Repeat five times.
5. Circle the cheekbone five times using firm pressure.
6. Move under the cheekbone. Massage upward and downward with firm pressure, moving from the corner of the mouth up to the earlobe and back to the corner of the mouth.
7. Move to the jawline. Move down from the ear to along the jaw towards the chin, from the chin back along the jaw to the ear lobe.
Care: For daily care, simply wipe the wand after each use or use soap and water only on the metal part. For a deeper clean, create a paste with tea tree oil and fuller's earth clay.

Feels really cheap - especially for the price
The title says it all - I expected more from the brand and this tool is far too expensive to feel so cheap. Wish I’d returned but was travelling so it’s too late now. Save your money and spend on literally any other tool since this is cheap and tacky and plastic.

OK, if you want a face massage tool
So far haven't seen any difference in using the Kansa Wand. I think I would rather massage my face with the fingers. Yet, if you really want to use a massage tool for your face, this might be a good option, although a bit expensive.

Nice tool
A great addition to my skincare routine; I use it twice every week with the Ravanat face oil. Good massaging tool.

Feels relaxing to use.
Although this was quite expensive, I loved the relaxing feeling and noticed after a few uses the black residue coming off my skin was no longer there.

Ranavat Kansa Wand
Ohh how much I love this tool, I would give it 10 stars if I could. I have got some permanent acne on my right and left jaw area. Now that acne is not like typical pimple type acne but more like rosacea, I hope I am explaining it correctly. Anyhow this Kansa Wand makes that acne flare from 10 down to 3 with just one use. I mean you can see the results within an hour after using it. Although the flare tend to come back again, thanks to my laziness as I am irregular in using it. But seriously it is an amazing tool. You just have to move it in a circular motion and be light handed on the affected area, if you have any like mine or differently. I haven’t experienced any grey residue on my face so far, although I am keen to see that if ever that happens. I am so happy with this tool that I recently bought Mauli Rituals’ Kansa Comb as well. I would highly recommend this Kansa Wand to anyone trying to upgrade their skincare/massage routine.
