MEET SURRATT’S FOUNDER- TROY SURRATT

Born in Japan but brought up in Kansas, Troy Surratt was always obsessed with make up. Starting his career working on the cosmetic counter of his local department store, Troy quickly moved to New York searching for his big break. After cold-calling renowned MUA Kevyn Aucoin, he landed a job as his assistant and continued to work with him until his death in 2002. Troy then gained his own impressive lineup of celebrity clientele, co-created Tarte make up and became the global ambassador of Maybelline. But the pull of making something of his own was too great and in 2013 he debuted Surratt Beauty to critical acclaim.

MADE IN JAPAN

With the brand’s inspiration rooting in Japanese culture, craftsmanship and beauty aesthetics, Surratt’s founder was adamant that his products were to be produced in his muse country. From the sleek black customisable palettes to the eyeliners inspired by calligraphy pens, this influence is prominent across the entire range – and we couldn’t be more pleased.
