An incredibly gentle formula for stressed, dehydrated or sensitive skin types, Susanne Kaufmann’s Cleansing Milk is a rich, soothing blend of chamomile, sage and St. John’s wort – which helps to dissolve daily make up, oil and grime without upsetting your skin’s fragile balance.
Strengthening rosehip seed oil helps to fortify skin’s fabric – enhancing elasticity, resilience and ‘stretch’ – while vitamin E and glycerin combine to promote skin’s moisture levels and leave your complexion feeling thoroughly cleansed but not overexposed. Sufficiently delicate to use around the eyes (this melts even stubborn mascara), this is a beautiful ‘first step’ cleanse and is perfectly balanced to maintain your skin’s own pH.

Nice enough cleanser
I like the natural ethos of this company so I decided to replace my usual milk cleanser with this one.It does leave a moisturised feeling on the skin but doesn’t appear to break out my sensitive skin but with more use I’ll see how it reacts.

Best cleanser
At 48, my combination skin has become dryer especially around the cheeks. I used to use gel or foaming cleansers but these have become too dry even though I live in the tropics. I embarked on the search for a gentle cleanser which still “felt clean”. After trying so many, this one is the holy grail. It functions well as a morning cleanser, it even removes makeup and leaves no trace (I checked with a cotton pad infused by toner) at the end of the day. I wear liquid eyeliner, eye shadow, liquid brow shading every day. All these came off pronto. Skin feels clean but not stripped or tight. Best of all, there is a natural light botanical scent that is pleasant and aroma-therapeutic. The gel cleanser from this range is great too. The best cleanser of the lot I’ve tried.

Skin feels soft
Very soft on the skin and does not dry it out. There is a feeling of residue but you get used to it... It kind of feels like a leave-in conditioner for the skin (although I wash it off thoroughly) but it stopped bothering me after the first few days. I haven’t used this after makeup but I might need a stronger cleanser as this doesn’t feel like a deep clean, albeit it does remove the oiliness from my face well. I have very sensitive skin prone to rashes and itchiness and have tried the nutrient concentrate from SK which caused a rash, but this product didn’t.

I have very, very sensitive acne-prone skin that is also extremely dry and has lost its elasticity. I always knew I should try cleansing milk but I hated the feeling of washing my face with lotion that will not go away with water. But when my face got really sensitive, I gave this cleanser a chance and I did not regret it. It has brought back moisture to my face in only 3 days of use, did not cause any breakout and made my face silky smooth and radiant. 100% recommended.
