The Ordinary has firmly cemented itself as a leader in science-backed skin care. Taking the guesswork out of building a regime, it ditches unnecessary, filler ingredients for familiar, hard-working actives that deliver promising results. A case in point? Meet the Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm (15ml), a multipurpose moisturising formula, designed to hydrate lips, elbows and cuticles.
Say au revoir to dry, chapped skin with The Ordinary's Squalane + Amino Acids Lip Balm (15ml).
Powered by its namesake (AKA squalane) and its emollient properties, this formula provides immediate and long-lasting hydration while protecting your delicate skin barrier. The other star of this show is a unique blend of amino acids which help to seal in moisture for noticeably softer lips and skin. Plus, its compact size means you can keep this with you wherever you go; it's a pocket-sized legend.
Squalane, Sorbitan Olivate, Aqua (Water), Trihydroxystearin, Betaine, Jojoba Esters, Helianthus Annuus Seed Wax, Sodium PCA, PCA, Serine, Alanine, Arginine, Proline, Glycine, Glutamic Acid, Lysine HCl, Threonine, Sodium Lactate, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acacia Decurrens Flower Wax, Polyglycerin-3, Hydroxymethoxyphenyl Decanone, Tocopherol, Calcium Gluconate, Gluconolactone, Sodium Benzoate.

Hydrates not coats
It does what it should. It adds hydration rather than coating dry chapped lips, it actually treats them and stops them chapping in the first place. Use vaseline if they are already chapped and then use this to keep them hydrated. Looks small, but lasts sooooo long.

It’s okay
Honestly I didn’t expect it to be so tiny, I wonder how I could get all the product out of packaging

HG lip balm
This stuff WORKS! Leaves lips perfectly hydrated and it doesn’t lead to those little lip line pimples.

Disappoiting.
Not the usual level of quality you are used to from The Ordinary, so you may call it overpriced for what it is. The consistency is fine and leaves you a watery rather than hydrating sensation.

Not for me
I like alot of the ordinary products but this lip balm wasn't for me. It's too thin, feels a little greasy on the lips and disappears quite quickly.

Absolutely stunning
Long lasting and super hydrating. Feels lightweight and like nothing at all. Pro tip - use a drop of a HA serum under this lip balm for ultra plump lips with zero flakes

Absolute stunner
Long lasting hydration, super lightweight. Feels like nothing at all. For plump lips, use a drop of HA under the lip serum. Flakes would be a thing of the past.

not for me
I found this very thin and watery. It slides off your lips in about 5 seconds and it disappears quickly and i find myself reapplying regularly. The applicator tip popped off quite a few times when I squeezed the tube to apply - which was messy! Aquaphor advanced therapy healing ointment is literally the best. I won't buy this again.
