A salon quality wash
You know the feeling of leaving the salon and your hair feels the cleanest it's ever been? I'm always trying to recreate that feeling at home and this product has DONE it. I double shampooed (as we all should be) and it was such a joy to use. My hair felt so much lighter and truly cleansed afterwards as this formulation tackles any product build up and sebum which my other shampoos don't seem to. Pro tip I learned on tiktok: In the shower, tip your head facing down (with your hair in front of you) and let gravity do its thing when sectioning hair and getting the product as close to the roots as possible - I've found it's much easier to distribute the product this way as my hair isn't weighed down.

Shampoo: not great for scalps that tend to be dry
Thankfully bought the smallest bottle of this shampoo, which is nicely packaged and the scent smells quite floral and herby. The shampoo is creamy and so I thought it would be ideal for moisturising my scalp which tends to be dry and itchy, however this was not the case. I've used this once on my brown, straightish thick hair and my scalp just feels dry - it doesn't make my scalp immediately itch which is good but I wouldn't say my scalp is particularly sensitive anyway. Overall, it may be nice if you tend to have an oily scalp and thin-medium hair but I would not recommend for people with dry scalps.

Totally different to anything I have used before
Took me a couple of trys, and a watch of the founder's tutorial, to get that clean feel - I would suggest you watch the clip. It won't lather like normal shampoos but you get it enough with plenty of water. Hair really feels great and I can definitely tell soemthing is working on my scalp. I am a believer and love the scent that comes with these products.

I love it!
Firstly, this look gorgeous in my bathroom and smells amazing! It doesn’t lather as much as other shampoo I’ve used but I found adding more water did the trick! My hair and scalp feel super clean without feeling dry, and even the next day my hair is much less greasy than normal! I love it!

Clean, mean but maybe not for me
I've used this a few times now, and each time I come anyway not loving it.. It's my first fully natural shampoo (and conditioner) and I think that's why I'm not in love. I'm used to my hair feeling silky after washing (with my shampoo that contains sillicones), however it feels a little coarse with this. I'm sure though, It could be that this will be a long term benefit, so I'll keep at it and see what my hair is like once my hair gets used to it... On a side note, love the packaging and looks so stylish in my shower!

Clean & Nourished!
This feels like a very nourishing shampoo whilst leaving the scalp and hair really cleansed but not squeaky clean. As it's not overly stripping you can comfortably do a double cleanse and for me I do feel like this is a light but not a greasy film that the more conditioning and nourishing ingredients leave that once you're used is really nice. If you are using to those surfactant heavy shampoos this won't be very foamy, and I will really advise properly working in the hands and then going under the hair straight the scalp and massaging really the scalp and roots as this is the focus of the buildup and dirt in the hair. This will be a permanent rotation within my hair routine.

So gentle!
I have been washing my hair every day with this shampoo and so far I'm loving it! for context, I have a very sensitive scalp that gets dry, itchy, and flaky to the point of having big red patches on it so I have to be SO careful with the products I choose. This shampoo has kept my scalp clean with no signs of irritation so I will definitely continue using it!

Having been a devotee to another hair care brand I was reluctant to leave my HG shampoo and try something else but I'm glad I did. As this is a natural shampoo with minimal ingredients don't expect this to behave like a 'normal' shampoo. Forget a good lather. But don't let that put you off. My hair feels incredibly clean afterwards and all residue from products (ie dry shampoo) is lifted. Plus my partner (who has itchy scalp issues) is incredibly happy with this so its a win-win for us!
