After writing a thesis on the semantics of scents, it made sense that he used his experiences to create a new kind of perfumery. Cue: Kilian. As one of the most experienced fragrant houses in the industry, the brand dreams up alluring aromas like the Old Fashioned (7.5ml), an amber fragrance, starring notes of wheat absolute, cedarwood and tolu balm.

Kilian's Old Fashioned (7.5ml) is a fragrance inspired by the brand's brewing heritage and the complex structure of an 18-year-old single malt.

Upon first spritz, you'll be met with the warm nuttiness of wheat absolute that's blended with davana herb for a bitter balsamic chord. This duo is then complemented by a creamy concoction of cedarwood and immortell (read: a flowering plant), which adds a sweet yet dry notes almost reminiscent of hay, tobacco and honey. Finally, this scent settles into a soft base of floral and woody styrax mixed with amber-like tolu balsam. Be warned though: a few spritzes of this will be sure to stop people in the street to ask what you're wearing...
