Born out of New York City creative studio Milk, Milk Makeup believes in good ingredients and epic payoff, with a carefully-curated range of cruelty-free, paraben-free, and 100% vegan essentials. With a collection of high-performance, good-to-skin formulas, it's no surprise that their camouflaging eye concealer, multi-tasking lip stains, natural-looking eyebrow gel and game-changing primer are already industry icons. Joining the ranks is the Pore Eclipse Mattifying Primer - a lightweight water cream base that blurs pores and keeps shine firmly under control to leave you with a soft matte finish that lasts... and lasts... and lasts.
This is one eclipse that doesn't come around once in a new moon... the new Pore Eclipse Mattifying Primer from Milk Makeup promises to blur pores, control shine and keep your make up in place from dawn till dusk. Available in a travel-friendly 20ml and 40ml you can achieve mattifying results that are truly out of this world.
You asked, Milk answered. We'd like to introduce you and your complexion to the mattifying primer that does everything and more for oily and combo skin types. This is make up prep with serious skin care benefits: bakuchiol works to keep your skin smooth and eve,n while lentil extract keeps shine firmly under wraps (blotting papers be gone!). Irritation and sensitivity are calmed with a soothing dose of moonstone and pores can take a back seat thanks to our favourite skin-gredient... niacinamide. This is the make up locking primer to keep your base in place all day, leaving you with a filter-like finish without the need for silicones.

Very mattifying!
If you need serious oil control this is a great formula! You only need to apply the tiniest bit on the t-zone to really prevent shine and give a great base for your foundation. I've got combination skin so I just tend to use it around my nose, it applies nicely and smoothes texture and wears well throughout the day.

It’s a meh from me
This does feel lovely on your skin and blurs pores if you aren’t wearing makeup. But once makeup is applied, does it make a HUGE difference? I don’t think so. It doesn’t keep oil at bay and doesn’t extend makeup wear so I usually pair with another primer. I will use it up but think this would be better for someone with pretty much perfect skin with no oil or dry patches.

Perfect mattifying primer
If you live for a Matt finish then this product is the one to go for doesn’t dry out your skin like alot of Matt primers .. minimises pores and your base sticks all day love this.

OK, but not great
Just an average primer. It does even out your complexion, but not great with its mattifying qualities, and doesn’t keep your foundation better for longer. There are plenty of better products on the market.

Love it!!!
I am not a fan of the hydro grip primer but was excited to buy this one in the travel size. The instant I tried it I immediately bought the full size. Nice cooling sensation on the skin, keeps you Matt but dose not dry skin out. Love it!

Not the best
It has that chalky feeling on the skin and does pill quite a bit. Ok if you only use a tiny bit

Very good
I’m not the biggest primer wearer - with oily skin, I find that sometimes even mattifying ones just slide off when my oils come thru. I got sample of this one and was impressed to the point of buying a full size. Tip- apply The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% and Zinc 1% and then this primer - it really helped with my oil not coming thru as fast as much.
